Chapter 11 Captured

Cassie, Johanna and Peeta all looked up at the sky to see both the hovercrafts flying away.

"Hey wait!" Peeta screamed at the sky. Johanna just scoffed.
"Typical." She yelled "They come for the girl on fire but don't help the people who kept her alive this whole time!"

Cassie just stood there in shock. Finnick had left without her. He promised her she would be safe that when the hovercrafts came for Katniss they would take everyone.

Cassie looked at the sky with pure rage in her eyes. "You Liar! I hate you Finnick Odair! You hear me I HATE YOU!"

Cassie sunk to the ground in defeat. How could he?

Did she really mean nothing to him anymore?

Cassie sat down waiting in the silence. When Johanna and Peeta had stopped screaming at the sky they noticed Cassie.

Johanna ran and kneeled down beside her she began to click her fingers trying to make a noise to distract her. "Cassie! Cassie! Don't do this. Don't shut down we need you."

It was too late Cassie lost the light from her eyes, she had stopped crying. She just sat their not making a sound.

Peeta looked confused "What's going on Johanna?"

"Whenever Cassie experiences something really bad then she goes into this lockdown mode. I've never had to deal with it. Finnick was the only one who could-"

"Don't mention his name!" Cassie seethed her eyes not moving.

A light whirl could be heard from above and another hovercraft entered. Peeta began to smile. They hadn't left them ,he thought. When the hovercraft landed a bunch of peacekeepers came out and hit Peeta and Johanna round the head.

All except Cassie she was escorted inside calmly while Peeta and Johanna's unconscious bodies were dragged in.

A tv in the craft came on. President Snow was online.

"Thank you Miss Peters it will be lovely to have you in the Capitol again. I hope you have reconsidered my offer"

Cassie looked at him "I have. I will be the face of the Capitol"

"Excellent"
