Today Cassie was having dinner with President Snow. She hadn't told Finnick or anyone as they would worry and she didn't need anymore stress.

She picked out the lovely white dress which Snow had sent to her saying she had to wear.

She also took her necklace off and left it on the side in her room

She also took her necklace off and left it on the side in her room.

She didn't need Snow to know she was sort of an alliance with Katniss and Peeta.

At around 6 some Peacekeepers showed up at the door and escorted her out of the building and into a car which drove to President Snows house.

When Cassie arrived he and his granddaughter were waiting for her in the hallway.

He smiled "Ah Miss Peters I see you are wearing the dress I sent."

"Thank you President Snow it's a marvellous dress." Cassie said.

That's when his granddaughter piped up "Are you the princess from the parade?"

Cassie nodded. "My friends at school are going to be so jealous that I met Princess Cassie" she said a big childish grin on her face.

"Now child where are your manners. You haven't introduced yourself yet." Snow said playfully.

"Sorry" she said to her grandfather. She turned back to Cassie and stuck out her hand politely saying "Hello Miss Peters my name is Cassia Snow"

"We'll it's lovely to meet you Cassia." Cassie said with a small curtsy making the little girl smile.

"We'll I'm rather hungry shall we eat?" Snow asked.

The dinner itself was very lovely Cassia spent a lot of time talking to Cassie asking her questions about all her costumes, how many tiaras she had she even asked if Cassie had a crush on anyone.

Cassie had managed t I avoid that question by asking Cassia some questions as well.

When dinner and dessert had been eaten President Snow turned to Cassia saying "Cassia it's time for bed now. I must speak to Miss Peters alone."

Cassia stood up nodded to Snow and then waved bye to Cassie and left the room.

Now the part of the evening Cassie had been dreading.

"Do you know why I've asked you here today Miss Peters?" Snow asked curiously.

"I'm afraid I don't. I was rather confused when I received your note and your lovely gift." Cassie replied.

"You of course know what happened last year in the Games between Mr Mellark and Miss Everdeen"

"Of course everyone in all of Panem does." Cassie told him.

"Then I hope you know it lit a small spark. A spark that seems to be spreading." Snow told her.
Cassie sat silently.

"I'm sorry President Snow I'm not quite understanding what last years Hunger Games has to do with me." Cassie said.

Snow smiled "Miss Peters it has everything to do with you. In fact you would not be heading into the arena in 2 days time were it not for the events of last year"

Cassie's face fell "Excuse me?"

"You see Cassie my main job is to keep peace in Panem but when they tried that Nightshade stunt those in the Capitol saw it as an act of desperation and love. Those in the districts saw it as a spark of rebellion. To prevent anything happening we used this years Quarter Quell as the perfect opportunity to show the people that even the strongest of you cannot defeat the Capitol."

Cassie just froze not believing what she was hearing. Her life, the lives of her friends were all at risk because of a stupid mistake made by the people she was going to try and protect in the arena.

"We all know that Miss Everdeen will be the face of the rebellion. So if a rebellion does start the Capitol will need someone to represent them. Someone that the districts know. Someone they love." He looked at Cassie "Do you know who we chose?"

Cassie took a deep breath. "So you want me to be the face of the Capitol if a rebellion starts."

Snow nodded "That's exactly what I'm asking".

"What if I turn you down?" Cassie asked warily.
Snow just smiled evilly "Let's just say everyone you ever cared about will die. Mr Odair, Miss Mason and the Smith Family whom you even said you consider to be a second family."

Cassie held her breath. "Do I have time to think about your offer?" She asked.

"Of course but the moment you make up your mind I'll need an answer." With that Snow left the room leaving Cassie alone with her thoughts.
