(Y/N)'s POV

The next morning was utter chaos. The second I woke it was a mile a minute, everyone shouting and rushing about. "(Y/N) GET READY! FIVE MINUTES!" shouted up mum, I swear, for someone so tiny, she can be so loud.

I hurried to get dressed. "WERE GOING TO BE LATE!" she screamed up again, her voice cutting through everyone else's. I hurried and devoured breakfast faster then I probably should, then we were out the door, and before I knew it, we were boarding the train.

"Well, look after yourselves," said Lupin, shaking hands all round, he got to me, "Try not to cause trouble" I shrugged, he clapped Harry's shoulder "You too, Harry. Be careful." "Yeah, keep your head down and your eyes peeled," said Moody, shaking Harry's hand too with a warning about letters and owls.

"It's been great meeting all of you," said Tonks, hugging Hermione and Ginny. "We'll see you soon, I expect." A warning whistle sounded; the students still on the platform started hurrying onto the train. "Quick, quick," said Mrs. Weasley distractedly, hugging them at random and catching Harry twice.

Mum pulled me aside quickly, "Now, I know it's hard, but try to stay out of trouble this year" I nodded, "I'll try" she smiled at me. "Good boy" "Now, I know I say this every year, but stay safe, be good, and try to avoid any headlines."

I nodded again, "And I know you get excited, but try to calm down once and a while ok?" I sighed and said I'd try my best, pulling her into a hug "Love you" she said as Mrs Weasley coaxed us onto the train.

I franticly waved at mum "Love you!" I called to her, I didn't say that enough, she blew me kisses. Then the figures of Mum, Tonks, Lupin, Moody, and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley shrank rapidly but the black dog was bounding alongside the window, wagging its tail; blurred people on the platform were laughing to see it chasing the train, and then they turned the corner, and Sirius was gone.

"He shouldn't have come with us," said Hermione in a worried voice. "Oh, lighten up," said Ron, "he hasn't seen daylight for months, poor bloke." "I know, I could barely handle one before I freaked"

"Shall we go and find a compartment, then?" Harry asked us, "Yeah, dibs on the window seat" I said. Ron and Hermione exchanged looks. "Er," said Ron. "We're — well — Ron and I are supposed to go into the prefect carriage,"

"Oh," said Harry. "Right. Fine." "I don't think we'll have to stay there all journey," said Hermione quickly. "Our letters said we just get instructions from the Head Boy and Girl and then patrol the corridors from time to time."

"Wait, you get your own special carriage!" I looked to Ron, "I've changed my mind, fight me" he told me to shut up. "Right, don't want to embarrass yourself in front of your cool new prefect friends" I mumbled.

He frowned at me, Harry still seemed a little upset "Fine" was all he said "Well, I-I might see you later, then." "Yeah, definitely," said Ron. I called after them "No funny business you two, your meant to be model students now, so no snogging in the engine room."

"Shut up" they said in unison as I slyly winked at Hermione. "Wow, prefect telepathy" I smiled, Harry still seemed upset so I tried to cheer him up "Don't worry, we can find our own compartment... with Veela...and chocolate frogs!" he looked at me confused, "I dunno, it sounded better in my head."

"I imagine most things do" said Ginny. I was too stunned to retort. "Come on," Ginny told us, "if we get a move on, we'll be able to save them places." "Right," said Harry, picking up Hedwig's cage in one hand and the handle of his trunk in the other.

We met Neville, his round face shining with the effort of pulling his trunk along and maintaining a one-handed grip on his struggling toad, Trevor. "Hi, Harry, "Hi (Y/N), feeling better?" he panted, I nodded.
