(Y/N)'s POV

"Harry, the prophecy!" I said in shock. "It doesn't matter!" Harry shouted, but I could tell he was immensely frustrated. He raced forward to help Sirius in the battle. I wanted to do the same, but I had another concern, Neville.

He was slowly getting to his feet after the impact, but looked utterly stunned at what to do. As I saw my friends all huddled together, I got an idea, a way to traverse the battlefield without having to fight, avoiding the countless spells that flashed around the room.

The distance wasn't that far, so It should work. In theory. I grabbed Neville's shoulders, "Neville, I have a plan, but I need you to be perfectly still" he seemed confused, but nodded. He did as I asked, I focused as much as I could.

Focused on my friends, focused on being near them, focused on Hermione, I took a deep breath and said "I'm sorry if I cut you in half" to Neville, who said "Hu-" then there was a quarter of a second pause, "-h" opened my eyes.

My friends were surrounding me, all looking at me, horrified at our sudden arrival. "Uhh...hi." I looked over at Neville, he was jarred and confused, but unharmed, I looked down at myself and checked them off.

I had all my limbs, I felt my face and I wasn't missing anything. Despite being in a warzone I was filled with happiness that it worked. Neville was safely hidden and armed with a wand, I left him for the battle too, pushing past my friends to find anyone who needed help.

Making my way down to my Mother, who was engaged in a fierce duel with Dolohov, who had yet again, escaped his binds. I ran up behind him, Mum was facing me, she smirked. I cursed Dolohov in the back, "Depulso."

His entire body lurched forward, but he remained on his feet. After blocking a stunning spell from Mum he turned on his heel and snarled at me. "Ready to die boy?" I frowned at him, "You first."

We traded spells back and forth for a few seconds, I barely managed to dodge the purple curse he was so fond of. "Missed me" I smirked. He was visibly struggling with fighting both of us so I started trying to distract him and give Mum an opportunity to strike.

Making comments each time he missed a strike, or sarcastically encouraging him to try harder whenever he hit my shield spells. It started to take its toll, he seemed to be able to resist or power through most stunning spells.

But he was slowly becoming slower, but more desperate, eventually he seemed to get tired of my quips and lashed out entirely at me. Mum attempted to stun him again, this time he snarled angrily and simply flourished his wand behind his back as if he was batting it away.

The spell recoiled, she was knocked onto her back and groaned in pain upon hitting the stone. Then, I made a mistake, out of concern for my mother, I looked away from Dolohov for a split second, trying to see if she had been hurt. He took advantage of my stupidity.

He chuckled evilly, his crooked smile triumphant, he raised his wand to my chest, a green spark lit his wand, then he raised his wand above his head, shouting "Avada-" I panicked, knowing what came next and said the first spell I could think of.

"Immobulus!" He seemed to pause in mid-air, his wand raised to attack, as he was frozen Mum surprisingly cast a spell over his shoulder, it hit me in the stomach. A warm cosy feeling swelled in my chest

I was confused for a second, but she beamed at me and said the incantation for the fire rope spell, in a flourish like the crack of a whip she surrounded Dolohov in thick lashes of fire, coiling around him like satin.

As the inferno blazed around him, he managed to protect himself wordlessly but he was trapped, tangled by the flames. I shielded my eyes from the immense light, the heat was bouncing off the stone floor.
