(Y/N)'s POV

I took a deep breath and ripped open the letter, "Well, not a Howler, that's a good sign" I chuckled to myself, the tension lifting a little.

"Ordinary Wizarding Level Results Pass Grades: Outstanding (O) Exceeds Expectations (E) Acceptable (A) Fail Grades: Poor (P) Dreadful (D) Troll (T)."

"(Y/N) (L/N) has achieved: Astronomy: A, Care of Magical Creatures: O, Charms: O, Defence Against the Dark Arts: E, Divination: A, Herbology: E, History of Magic: E, Potions: O, Transfiguration: O,"

I was ecstatic, I read over it, once, twice, three times, but It was written plain as anything in front of me. I passed everything, even Herbology! I couldn't contain myself I clapped a hand to my widely smiling mouth. I guess all those 'study dates" as I liked to call them, payed off in the end.

I looked around. Hermione had her back to me, her head bent, but Ron was looking delighted. "Only failed Divination and History of Magic, and who cares about them?" he said happily.

I high fived him and Harry looked up to us and smiled widely, when I looked to him he just nodded "Here...swap..." we passed our results to each other, Ron took a look at mine and high fived me again.

"You were always a shoo in for Charms, but this is ridiculous," I shrugged, "Couldn't have done it without the DA and Hermione. Plus, what do you guys think we do while you lot have Quidditch?"

We glanced down Ron's grades: There were no "Outstandings" there... "Knew you'd be top at Defence Against the Dark Arts," said Ron, punching Harry on the shoulder.

"We've done all right, haven't we?" "Well done!" said Mrs. Weasley proudly, ruffling Ron's hair. "Seven OWLs, that's more than Fred and George got together!"

"Hermione?" said Ginny tentatively, I turned to her, she still hadn't turned around. "How did you do?" "I — not bad," said Hermione in a small voice.

Her voice was a bit off, I walked up to her, towering over her to see her results, they were brilliant, much better than mine, but I expected nothing less. "Oh, come off it," said Ron, striding over to her and whipping her results out of her hand.

"Yep — nine 'Outstandings' and one 'Exceeds Expectations' at Defence Against the Dark Arts." He looked down at her, half-amused, half-exasperated. "You're actually disappointed, aren't you?" Hermione shook her head, but Harry laughed.

I wrapped my arms around her happily, "Proud of you" I cooed. She looked up and beamed at me, the disappointment fading from her face, I passed her my results. She looked over them happily.

"Well, we're N.E.W.T. students now!" grinned Ron "Yeah we are!" I said, hugging him. "Mum, are there any more sausages?" he said through the hug. The rest of the time at the burrow was essentially the countdown to Harry's birthday.

Until finally the day arrived, I was a little nervous about giving Harry his gift this year, I wasn't sure If it would dredge up old memories. But It was too late to find a replacement now. I just hoped he would forgive me for what I had to do to get it.

I nervously placed a small box into his hand "My gifts a little...odd, because its something you already had, but I hope you like it" he looked confused and took it eagerly. Inside, he found a penknife, Sirius's penknife, restored to its former glory. He glanced at it, looked to me, and did a double take.

"I had to borrow it to get it fixed, it's not special anymore, just an everyday penknife. I'm sorry if you don't-" I was cut off when he hugged me tightly, squeezing the voice out of me, he smiled widely, "Thank you."

I shrugged, "I'm glad you like it" he nodded. "When did you?.." he trailed off, "When you lot were outside playing Quidditch, sent it to Dad and he fixed it for me, told me to tell you happy birthday" He looked like he wanted to enquire further, but smiled and took it happily, examining it.
