I pushed the bathroom door open as Harper was watching me.
I stepped out as our class was gone.
I walked back down the steps back toward the Viking exhibit.
Harper grabbed my arm, "What are you doing?"
I turned back to her, "I don't know but I just wanna know about him."
"McKenzie, he is dead. He has been dead for years."
"Do you ever have that feeling in the morning or when you see someone that you think you may know them or something?" I looked back at her.
Harper narrowed her eyes back at me.
"I just wanna know."
Harper nodded her head as we went down the steps back to the exhibit.
I stepped back infront of Solomon as Lucas walked over to us.
"You know your class is gone." Lucas said back to me.
"You gotta talk to me about him." I said back to him.
Lucas nodded his head, "I saw you looking at him. You got that feeling."
"It was strange, I mean I just wanna know about him and why for someone who was feared so badly has his own room in this museum."
Lucas nodded his head pointing back to the back photos, "Those are images of what people think he looked like and of course his brother."
"He had a brother?" Harper asked him.
"Maddox was a quiet person but just as fucking brutal as his big brother."
I looked back at Lucas.
Lucas pointed to the side photo, "That was their father; he was killed one night during a raid. Rumors were that his own brother killed him but of course no one could prove it and since they said that his brother was loved, it was all pushed to the side."
Harper glanced over her shoulder as one of the security guards came toward us.
"So why did people say that their uncle did it?" I asked him.
"Their uncle wanted the kingdom and with their father gone it was gonna be Solomon to step up as the ruler."
I looked back at the painting, "What happened to Solomon?"
"Hey, you two need to come with me." The guard shouted at us.
Harper looked over at me.
I turned to the guard, "What?"
"Your teacher called, you are gonna be picked up at the front of the museum, so let's go!"
Harper glared back at me as we were taken back through the museum with everyone looking at us.
Our teacher was not happy with us or with our story.
I stood to the back of the group as the artist went over the painting of what modern artists where doing now in Ireland.
Harper glanced back at me as I was looking at the side room where there were older paintings.
I stepped off the side and went to the room.
