Maverick glanced up at me as I walked around to the front of Loki as he was kneeling on the ground.
Carrigan crossed his arms, "What are we gonna do to him?"
Kari looked over at him, "Carrigan, take a walk."
I grabbed Loki's chin making him look at me.
Loki smiled at me, "This is just your world collapsing."
I let go of him as I sent my fist across his face, "My world collapsed the day I was born. You know nothing about me. You know nothing about what I have been through. You don't know what I have dealt with growing up. You don't know my family. You didn't know my father."
Loki's smile vanished.
I hit him again and again until Maverick grabbed me as Loki was bent over on the ground with blood running down the side of his face.
Raquel went to grab me but I pushed her away as I walked away from the ground.
Maverick looked over at her then walked off after me.
Raquel pointed at Loki, "NO one touches him."
Carrigan looked back at her, "You want me to watch him?"
Axel glanced over at him as Raquel pointed at him.
"You are both watching him." Raquel said as she walked off toward the back of the field as the remaining soldiers were waiting for something.
Maverick caught my hand as I was shaking.
He looked up at me, "McKenzie, what is going on?"
I was shaking so bad that I couldn't even talk.
Maverick put his hands on my cheeks, "McKenzie, talk to me."
I looked up into his eyes.
"Just talk to me."
It was different with Maverick. I wasn't being forced to be someone.
I wasn't being pushed into three different directions with him.
He was soft and kind when it came to me.
He was gentle when it came to my problems.
He understood and he was going to always be that way.
Maverick ran his thumb over my cheek, "Kenzie, just talk to me."
"I need to tell you something."
Maverick just looked at me as I started on what happened to me and who I really was.
Raquel glanced over her shoulder as Maddox walked over to her.
"You doing ok?" Maddox smiled down at her.
"Tomorrow everyone is gonna wake up and this is gonna be different. McKenzie is now the princess of Ireland. We aren't anything anymore Maddox. You are no longer a prince; Solomon is now no longer in line for a crown and Isabel is just stupid."
Maddox smiled back at her with a laugh.
"Maddox, this isn't funny." Raquel shook her head back at him.
