Ch. 5

Rin:"Nee-chan are u alright?"
She snapped out of her thoughts.
They were walking out of school back home together. Except this time rin noticed his sister didn't have them hold hands together today.

Rei nodded.
Rei:"Yep I'm alright. Where's sae-nii btw?"
Rin:"He said to go back home without him today he'll be coming back a bit late."
Rei:"Ahhh oki."
She smiled worried that rin might see through her facade. Her thoughts were busy with something completely different. And she wasn't sure if she should tell rin what happened to her. He's her twin though...

She's been feeling really down these days. What those classmates of hers told her really made her rethink what she's doing. Rin didn't know at all what happened to her since they're yes in the same grade but different classrooms. They only see each other at the break or after school.

After the twins came back home, sae and rin had went to the park to train for football.
Sae had that look on his face 🤨
It was rare for him to see rin and rei not together they were practically always together like super glue. And it's not like rei didn't join them with their football training for her to not be here. So why was it that she wasn't here with them?
Sae:"Rin where's ur annoying twin?"
Rin:"Rei? She said she wasnt feeling well so she stayed home even though I kept on pestering her to come insisting she still refused."
Sae:"Hmmmmm that's a bit weird..."
Sae wasnt sure if he should just ignore that or smthn. He felt rin pull his shirt.
Rin:"Nii-chan... Do u think she's okay? She hasn't been talking with me that much lately."
He looked at rin and ruffled his hair.
Sae:"Dont worry abt her. Maybe she's just tired today. She'll come with us next time."
Rin seemed to cheer up a bit and nodded at his brother. With that they continued to train.

A few days have passed and rin was getting more concerned. Rei really looks out of it. She seems more and more distracted these days. And she hasn't been joining them at all in football anymore. She keeps coming up with excuses all the time.

He gently moved her back and forth. She flinched at that.
Rei:"Huh rin? What is it?"
Rin:"Nee-chan it's the 5th time I've called u!! Really did something happen? Please tell me!!! I promise I'll listen."
He pouted at her with probably the cutest puppy eyes face she has ever seen.
She really felt her heart ache at that moment. Maybe it's time to say it.
...
She decided to tell him.
Rei:"Rin... I... I'm quitting football..."
Rin dropped both his hands and let go of her shirt.
What did he just hear???
Rin:"What... What do u mean?"
Rei:"Exactly as it sounds rin..." she looked really sad saying it and started rubbing her arm while looking away.

Rin left the room quickly running down the stairs. He went to get his older brother.
Rin:"NII-CHAN!! NII-CHAN!!!"
Sae got up from the couch annoyed and looked back at rin.
Sae:"What the hell do u want rin??"
Rin looked really sad and teary eyed.
Rin:"Nee-chan!!! Please come talk to her!!"
Sae sighed and looked more serious then got up as rin grabbed him and pulled him upstairs towards rei.

As they entered the room, they were both surprised seeing her cry.
She was also surprised they came in the room since she thought rin wouldn't be back for a long time. Seeing then made her cry even more.
Sae came up to her and held her smol hands.
Sae:"What the hell happened here?"
Rin:"Nee-chan said she's gonna quit football..."
He said pointing at rei. Sae looked from rin to rei. He was wondering what made her suddenly say that?
Sae:"Rei what's going on?"
Rei:"Its as he said..."
She said looking to the side not wanting to make eye contact with her older brother.
Sae:"Why r u quitting?"
Rei:"Just because..."
Sae:"Ur obviously lying... Do u really want to quit?"
Her tears were even more. She moved her head sideways not realizing her body was speaking up for her.
Rei:"Yes I want to."
Sae:"Ur body is saying otherwise. Rei. Seriously what happened?"
She was surprised by how sae was able to tell that she was lying. The moment she made eye contact she bawled her eyes out while trembling.
Sae sighed and hugged his sister and pat her back trying his best to comfort her. Even though he was still wondering wth was going on..
