Ch. 32

They were all called for in the morning. Rei didn't care abt listening to the results when her stomach was growling.

Rei: couldn't they have let us at least enjoy breakfast before hearing who makes it to the team?

She pouted a bit while looking at the coach waiting for her to say the results already. Oh. There was that woman rei bumped into last time joining in with the announcement.

Actually rei was starting to get a bit nervous. If she actually doesn't make it, her plans r all destroyed but... If she's really serious abt showing sae who's the boss here then she should be confident that she's gonna make it.

Anri:"Then. Here are the results of those who made it to the national team. Congratulations to the new u20 members."

The results were displayed on the screen in front of them.

Rei's eyes sparkled as she saw her name there. Her and some other girls shrieked in excitement. Some were hugging each other while almost tearing up. Others were devastated not finding their names there.

A round of applause was given to those who couldn't make it for their efforts and left with sadness.

Then another round of applause was given to the new members who were welcomed by the u20 national team. Even rei was surprised seeing Kyoko join in to clap for the new members.

Rei felt so proud of herself and after the formalities were over she began running over to Kyoko for a high five.

Kyoko sensed smthn coming and turned around to see rei. She got jumpscared and swiftly moved out of the way while looking at rei in disgust. Rei was surprised and tripped falling flat on her face. She got up quickly and looked at Kyoko with a frown.

Rei:"Why did u move???"
Kyoko:"Stay away from me??"
Rei:"IT WAS JUST A HIGH FIVE!!!"
Kyoko:"No thanks."

Rei sighed.
Rei:"Then help me up at least."
Rei extended her hand.

Kyoko:"Get up urself. U have two hands and two legs."
Rei:"Ur the reason I fell. Help me up."
Kyoko:"Tch."

Kyoko grabbed her hand and quickly pulled her up taking rei by surprise. Then quickly letting go.

Rei:"Oh my god for someone this small u r strong."
Kyoko:"Shut up brat."

Rei then was gonna head on with Kyoko for breakfast but she saw anri again with the blue pentagon symbol...

Rei:"Wait IM AN IDIOT!!"
She just remembered what the blue pentagon was.

Kyoko:"Whats with that sudden realization?"
Rei:"NO SHUT UP go ahead without me I'll come later."
Kyoko:"I wasn't waiting for u either way."

That last line lowkey felt like an arrow to rei's head.

Well they went their separate ways with rei trying to catch up to anri before she leaves.

Rei:"Wait miss!!"

Anri tilted her head to see rei running up to her.

Anri:"May I help u?"
Rei:"That symbol on the papers ur holding. Is that blue lock?"
Anri:"Huh? Yes it is..."
Anri: oh no. Wait isn't this...

Rei's eyes lit up a bit more.

Rei:"Can I ask u something abt it?"
Anri:"Most details r not disclosed to the public-"
Rei:"My brother."

Anri flinched. She was right. This was... Itoshi rei. Wait why is she dealing with their entire family rn. Itoshi rin is in blue lock. Itoshi sae came to blue lock. Now itoshi rei is part of the u20 just what coincidence was that?? What's with the family reunion?
