𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙸𝚝𝚘𝚜𝚑𝚒 𝚂𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚂𝚎𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚕 <𝟹

Ch 44

Rei and mamatoshi decided to have a mini  sleepover together. They caught up on lots of stuff and it was slowly becoming more late.

Mom:"What time is the match tomorrow?"
Rei:"At 8 pm. So let's go out at 5."
Mom:"Rei the place isn't that far away-"
Rei:"But!! Mama!! What if we miss their match??"

Rei looked actually worried and that had mamatoshi laugh.

Mom:"Since when were u so enthusiastic about being present at ur brothers' match?"
Rei:"This one's important."
Mom:"But u never came three hours before it starts."
Rei:"So many people would come."
Mom:"Is that so?"
Rei:"Yes we have to be there early we can't miss things."
Mom:"Don't we already have tickets?"
Rei:"Oh. Wait but still I don't want us to miss anything."

Mamatoshi nodded at her and smiled.
Mom:"You don't want to miss ur brothers do u?"
Rei:"Please don't tell them I acted like this for their match."

Mamatoshi laughed at her and pat her daughter's head.

Mom:"U don't worry. If tomorrow they don't fix that problem between them when we get home I'll drag them myself and give them an earful."
Rei:"Mama ur the best ily."

She hugged her and mamatoshi hugged her back.

Instead of sleeping rei continued to be the chatterbox that she is and telling her mom everything that happened. Catching up more here and there until she eventually slept and mamatoshi covered her.

Mom: this girl slept while talking... Sigh this is why I told her we should sleep instead but she never listens does she?

With that the day ended.

As for rin and sae... Rin couldn't sleep well his memories keep haunting him. Sae's face and their fights everytime they met afterwards was still fresh in his head. The fear was creeping in again. The memories replayed in his head like a video that kept moving in a constant loop.

Rin: what will happen when I meet nii-chan again? Sigh I don't wanna deal with the way he looked at me the past few times... I hate that look of his. Seriously I'll show him tomorrow... I'm not a pushover... I'll beat him and show him I'm not unnecessary-

He stopped those thoughts and bit his lips. Remembering sae telling him he's unnecessary in his life anymore... The anxiety of his was resurfacing. Knowing he'll meet sae again tomorrow was making him feel nauseated somewhat.

While moving to the other side of his bed he noticed something beside him.

Rin: oh. Nee-chan's keychain. Sigh why did she give me something so dumb.

But he realized the keychain helped him remember what rei told him.

That made him ease up a bit and finalize his thoughts regarding facing sae tomorrow.

....
Meanwhile sae wasn't exactly thinking much of it. Sure he knows he was harsh with rin the past few times and rei's words made him feel a sense of guilt.

Sae: I hope she forgot that promise... I don't think I'll be talking things out with rin anytime soon.

He was wondering how much rin would show an amazing progress in his skills tomorrow. Rin will definitely make him feel proud again right? Even if he's not the one beside rin...

While checking his phone he saw a message from rei.

He sighed and opened but it looks like she was wishing him all the best in tomorrow's match but...

Also I'm probably gonna be rooring for rin lol :P
Also u better not forget ur promise okay?
