Ch. 35

Everyone was practicing together. Rei told off any of their teammates who still were all talk and no do. So if they tried to talk about kyoko or others who they're jealous off and tried to bring them down through words she told them to prove it throughout their matches and otherwise shut up as they sound pathetic resorting to that. Now that she's the captain they can't exactly refuse her.

After afternoon training ended, kyoko and rei and the whole team were going to head back to eat lunch.

Kyoko noticed rei going the opposite way.
Kyoko:"Where r u going moron? Cafeteria is the other way."
Rei:"I think I forgot my phone somewhere I'll go look for it."

Kyoko looked a bit surprised and decided to follow rei.
Rei:"why r u coming along?"
Kyoko:"Because I'm surprised that u of all ppl r giving up on food for a phone."
Rei:"I just don't want to lose it :( I'm not a kid u can go eat lunch ahead."
Kyoko:"I'm only coming along cuz I don't want to eat."
Rei:"...okay and I'm not giving up food for my phone I just someone might take it-"
Kyoko:"Yeah whatever."

Rei was trying to defend her side as kyoko said things as if she betrayed her love for food for something else... Which is impossible to happen she will eat a whole meal after she finds her phone.

Honestly speaking kyoko just had a bad feeling in her gut about letting rei go alone. She's no kid. It's not even night or something. They're in a safe place. But her instincts r telling her to follow rei just in case.

They walked together and since rei had company she decided to blabber some more to kyoko for no reason.

Kyoko face palmed.
Kyoko:"R u here to talk nonstop or to find ur phone??"
Rei:"Both ehe."
Rei said with a wink and thumbs up while kyoko sighed.

They reached the field where they've had left some of their stuff and searched everywhere. It was nowhere to be found.

Rei:"I'll check from up maybe I left it there."
Kyoko:"Why the hell would u have it there even?"
Rei:"I have no idea but anything is possible. I pass by that place often though maybe it accidentally fell?"

Kyoko felt like that was a stupid move but there was no stopping rei from following her stupid moves.

Rei unfortunately didn't find it there either. Then kyoko seemed to come up next to her and threw something her way that rei quickly caught before it hit her head right between her eyes.

Rei:"I ALMOST DIED!!! Did u have to do that?! I could've died!!"
Kyoko:"Be grateful I even found it."

Rei did indeed be grateful she found her phone. But the phone coming straight at her was a bit scary.

While walking back inside towards the cafeteria...it felt like... someone was in the shadows. Kyoko couldn't shake off that feeling and rei noticed her expression looking slightly more different.

Rei:"Hey kyoko what's wrong-"

Rei felt kyoko pull her back quickly and instantly yelling.

Kyoko:"Stop hiding u fool."

Rei didn't understand what was happening or why kyoko was suddenly on defensive mode or yelling either.

However it slowly became clear when she saw a tall boy come out from the shadows.

"yo komatsu kyoko! Long time no see. Ig u guys added some more girls to ur team besides urself."

Rei looked confused at the weird looking guy. He was tall. Green hair at the ends. And heterochromic eyes. Meanwhile kyoko looked disgusted as hell and felt like throwing up at his words.

Kyoko:"Shut up u olive. "
Aiku:"It's Oliver aiku."
Kyoko:"Whatever."

Rei gasped loudly.
Rei:"Kyoko who's this weird ojisan?"
