Ch. 31

(just a reminder the scores were 2-1 in favor of rei's team)

Kyoko did not hesitate to enter the match whether the team was against it or not. Her eyes made the coach feel pressured into substituting her back in. The forward got irritated more seeing Kyoko back. She really hated kyoko with every inch of her body.

"So now ur threatening the coach to put u back in??"
Kyoko gave her a deadpanned look.

Kyoko:"U say that like u did anything significant in this match."
"I-i scored!!"
Kyoko:"U got lucky u fool. Now that ur actually trying it's different. U better pay attention I might actually willingly pass to u."

She was abt to retaliate towards Kyoko until some others in the team stopped her. Everyone knew that they might actually lose at this rate. Not letting Kyoko come in is basically asking for the loss to be handed to them already.

Rei on the other hand was wiping the sweat from her face with her shirt until she noticed that someone very familiar entered the field.

Rei:"OMG KOMATSU UR IN??"

Kyoko looked at rei with her cold gaze that was more sharp than usual. She gestured at rei that she'll kill her by snapping her neck.

Kyoko:"I'm here to bring u down and send u back home."
Rei felt chills down her spine. So this is the real serious mode of kyoko's?

She smirked back at her and put her hand on her hips while placing the football down her foot.
Rei:"Try it shorty. We'll see abt that."
Rei felt like things were finally exciting again.

Kyoko raised an eyebrow at her.
Kyoko:"R u dumb? The ball is ours."

Rei snapped from her obsessed thoughts abt scoring and realized she almost stole their turn.

They began the match again. There were a few minutes left before second half of the match. Assuming they don't cut off the training at the first half.

After a while the ball was in rei's possession. But it wasn't long since she felt something menacing right behind her. She began to protect the ball and keep it in her possession as she saw Kyoko appeared right beside her and almost managed to take the ball. After a few moments of trying to keep each other away by putting their arms in front of each other that Kyoko managed to find rei's blind spot and stole the ball from her. Rei clicked her tongue and refused to lose like this.

Kyoko is dangerous and she hasn't even seen her skills as a midfielder yet. Just as rei was relieved she finally caught up to Kyoko, she made a perfectly curved pass that reached another one of her teammates who barely managed scored.

That made rei gawk like an idiot.
Rei: wait have I ever even seen sae-nii do such a pass before? He's a midfielder himself... R all midfielders that amazing?

Kyoko clicked her tongue as the scenario was better in her head. If only these ppl in her team can try harder to score...
...

There were 2 minutes left in the match. Rei had the ball this time again. She clicked her tongue as she couldn't get through their defense. The ball flew back to the person she least wanted to possess the ball right now...
Kyoko...

Rei wanted to stop her no matter what. She wants to win this. She's not gonna let Kyoko be right abt sending her back home.

Meanwhile Kyoko was quickly analyzing her surroundings seeing who's prepared enough to score. It was unfortunately their forward. Kyoko looked annoyed. Why her of all people?

She then passed it accurately and precisely anyway to her not letting any of the ppl on the opposing team snatch the ball from her.

The forward hated to admit it, but Kyoko was an amazing player on their team. Their team had been doing a lot better the moment Kyoko became part of the u20. And it still holds true till today. She really was a big game changer...
