Ch. 16

Rei:"SHOOT HOW DO I TELL MAMA ABT THIS??"

Great just what she needed. How is she supposed to explain to her mom that her son has become an emo depressed looking teenager, he had an 180 degree personality shift with the way he treated them, and he doesn't wanna see his family....

Just great amazing. The first thing she woke up to in the morning and her eyes were burning making things even worse.

She got out of her room and saw rin pass by. They literally look worse than each other. Both with red eyes messier hair than usual. She figured they both probably cried themselves to sleep.

Rei:"Good morning rin."
She waved at him.
He seemed to be surprised for some reason.

Rin:"Good... Morning..."
It felt like he was acting weird like he forced himself to say that.

She decided to give him a break and ignore that.

After eating breakfast she went to knock on rin's room. He opened and he still looked very exhausted from yesterday.

Rei:" Rin. We're in big trouble..."
Rin:"?"
Rei:"what do we tell mama... We were lucky enough sae-"
Rin:"Dont even mention him his name makes me sick."
Rei:"Right..."

Wasn't that going a bit overboard?

Rei:"Okay let me replace his name with trashy brother so we were lucky trashy brother came a day earlier than scheduled cuz today mama will be expecting us to call... Do we tell her what happened?.."

Rin looked in so much pain remembering the day before.

Rin:"I don't want to tell her."
Rei:"I was thinking the same thing. She's already been busy trying to manage both home and work. I don't want her to be burdened with our problems too... So do I just lie to her?.."
Rin:"Give her a convincing one."
Rei tried to use 100% brain power in that moment
Rei:"Look I don't wanna lie to her... So I'll just say sae-"

Rin glared at her.

Rei:"MY BAD CHILL. I'll just tell her that trashy brother decided to stay at a hotel and couldn't come home because he was tired and busy as soon as he landed. That's technically not a lie. It's all true..."

Rin nodded then went downstairs. Seriously the house really felt big and empty...

Rei trailed behind her brother.
She tapped on his shoulder.

Rei:"Hey rin... R u sure u don't wanna talk abt it?.. U really look hella exhausted."
Rin:"Like ur one to talk. U already know what he said was probably the same."
Rei:"But u might feel better after venting-"
Rin:"Rei. I said. I don't wanna talk abt it. Please. Leave me alone."
...
She smacked his shoulder. He turned at her with anger written all over his face.

Rin :"What the hell was that for???"
Rei:"My fault for even trying to help u."
She was gonna walk away to her room but then... She turned around while pinching the bridge of her nose.

Rei:"Forget it this was my fault for bringing it up anyway. I'm sorry rin. I'm just really stressed abt mama finding out and abt everything in general."

With that being said she went upstairs to her room.

Rin sighed then held his forehead. He didn't want their relationship to be ruined too. But he can't help but feel angry whenever she brought the topic up...

SO the responsibility of telling their mom fell on her now.
She sighed. Here goes nothing.

Her heart dropped when she saw this message. What happened? A lot has happened. So much that it hurts recalling it... Did her mom really somehow know what's going on? What does she say now?
