Weekend

It was another weekend and mori and I were having a date, going to the movies to see the new Antman movie. Seeing as we're both big marvel fans, it only made sense to see it together. I was ready to go, with an Antman mask, and my hair up in a ponytail, a set of jeans and a marvel tee shirt. Just as I was getting my shoes on, my little brother opened the door and screamed.

"Joshua! What's the matter?" I went over to him, and he looked at me.

"Who the hell is this, and why is he at our house?!" I sighed. I swear, he needs to get over his fear of strangers.

"Josh, this is mori. Remember, he came to pick me up- oh wait you were at a friends house, right. Anyways, this is my soulmate. He's not going to hurt you, he's here to pick me up for a date."

"Did I startle you?" Mori asked, speaking English.

"He's just got a fear of strangers. I told you yesterday that he was picking me up. Were you listening, or were you playing video games?"

"... Playing video games." I rolled my eyes.

"Anyways, we have to get going. We don't want to be late." He walked away, as I walked out of the door, and grabbed onto mori's hand. "Sorry about him. I swear, he complains about being single, but wont get off his ass to meet someone."

"Can't blame him." He said, referring to my brothers fear.

"I know, but he needs to learn to stand up for himself and put it aside. He needs to talk to people eventually. I'm just trying to look out for him." He nodded as we got in his car.

After stopping by a place to get dinner before the movie, we headed inside, sitting down just a little before the movie started. We didn't talk, just held each others hands.

The movie was long, and filled with action and humor, and after the after credit scenes, we didn't get out till nearly midnight. Luckily for us, it's not a school night. Not to mention, neither set of parents expected us home until the early hours of the morning. We both yawned, but figured we should at least get me home. The drive was quiet, spare a few yawns, and by the time we reached my house, mori looked like he was going to fall asleep at the wheel.

"How about you stay here for the night?" I asked. He looked at me, eyebrow quirked. He was about to say no, before I spoke again. "I don't want you to end up crashing. You can take my room, I'll crash on the couch." He sighed, and nodded.

"Let's just share the bed." He said, nd we were both too tired to really argue, more or less about something so silly.

So here we were, both half dressed, cuddled up to each other in my bed. It was a bit snug since I had a twin sized bed, but it was still nice. I was half laying on mori's chest as his arm wrapped around me. I felt... safe.

'this is so comfy...' was the last thing I thought to myself, before I drifted off to sleep.

Mori ended up staying for breakfast the next morning. My dad was a little surprised when he went to wake me up, to find me in bed with him, but he didn't seem to care much since he knew we were going to get back really late. (Plus he knows if something were to happen I'm on the pill so he doesn't have to worry about his 16 year old daughter being pregnant.) My mom was a little more concerned, but I knew she wouldn't ask me something like that in front of everyone.

After mori left though, she did question me, and after some convincing, she was satisficed that we didn't do anything. But I have to say, it was nice waking up in his arms. It made me feel like it was okay to wake up, and that I wouldn't be plagued by the voices in my head again. Like I was going to be okay.

Like it was the safest place in the world.
