Okay, I keep accidentally switching the brothers' names around. Joshua is older. Edward is younger. Sorry about the confusion, I'm a little forgetful.
I woke up the next morning to an empty bed and a note from Takashi saying he was training, and to feel free to join him when I woke up. I smiled, but knew I was way too sore to do any training. I stretched, wincing at the pain in my back, and began to get dressed, when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID. What was it tamaki wanted this early in the morning? We're three days into summer vacation, and he's already calling us?
Picking up, I noticed it was a group call. The twins were the first to speak. "Yeah, what?" Hikaru said. I instantly pulled my phone away from my face as Tamaki started to screech.
"My daughters are gone! I can't get into contact with either one of them! They've vanished off the face of the earth! They must have been kidnapped by a band of gypsies, I just know it! Contact the police! We have to request an emergency deployment to the SDF!"
"Wait, slow down, you're not making any sense. Now what?" Tamaki repeated what he said more calmly, and I pretended I wasn't on the call... That was about where I was... Man, it sure is hard not to laugh at the irony.
"What do you mean haruhi and y/n are gone?!"
"Huh? So haru-chan and y/n-chan are really missing?" Honey, I was literally at dinner with you last night, what do you mean I'm missing? He must either be half asleep and not remembering I was with him at dinner, or he is playing into the bit.
"And their families are bankrupt?" Takashi was just amused with all this, I could tell. I muted myself to finish getting dressed, and put the phone on speaker so I could still hear.
"It's the only explanation! I've been trying to get through to their home phones and their parents work for the past several days and no one will answer! All of them have been evicted and forced into indentured servitude! We have to rescue them!"
"Haru-chan! Y/n-chan!"
"Boss please, not so loud."
"Have you tried calling their cell phones?"
"Wait, let me check something." Hikaru said, and was probrably checking who was in the call. "Y/n, get your ass unmuted!" I turned off mute and bust out lauhing.
"Aww, you guys are no fun! I was enjoying listening in on this. And Honey-senpai, you already know I'm not an indentured servent. I literally ate dinner at takashi's last night. You were there!"
"... I thought that was a dream... I'm still not really awake!" He defended. I laughed again, takashi joining in on his phone.
"Why do you have a cell phone?!" Tamaki yelled. He started going on about a secret underground commoners' network, and I cut him off.
"Tamaki, I'm the middle child of a family of five. My parents have a daughter who spends quite a bit of time out with her soulmate, or they're busy with work. My older brother's busy with preparing for college in person again, and my mom doesn't let her kids walk around alone. Of fucking course, I have a cell phone. Helicopter parents and all that." I said and sighed a bit.
"Sorry to interrupt, but Haruhi is currently in Karuizawa."
"Haruhi was turned out of her home, kidnapped by gypsies, and forced into servitude... In Karuizawa?"
"Moron."
"Dumbass." Kyoya and I said at the same time. Tamaki let us know he was coming after us in a chopper, and hung up. I heard the twins groan.
"Man, we just woke up."
"Why do we have to deal with this so early in the morning?"
"I know what you mean." I hung up too, just as Takashi came into the room. "I guess it's a good thing I've barely unpacked. I have a feeling we'll be there for a few days."
