Tamaki was chuckling to himself while daydreaming something, and I looked at him uncomfortably. "Uh, senpai? Hello?" Haruhi asked, waving to try and get his attention.
"Just leave him. He's off in lala land."
The boys asked if they could all stay at the pension for the next few days, and much to my relief, Mitsuzu-chi had to turn them down. "I'm sorry boys, I'd love to have you all as guests, but I'm afraid there's only one vacant room left." They said.
"Only one room you say? Well, that settles it." Please say you're going to sleep at your family's cottage. Give haruhi a break from you all for longer than three days! "I'll have to stay here to represent the club!" Goddamnit.
"Hey, that isn't fair!" Honey senpai whines.
"Have you no feeling of loyalty? Of any solidarity boss?"
"Togetherness is our guiding principle." The twins chuckled, knowing they won whatever they were playing.
"My own words, twisted and thrown right back in my face."
"Here's an idea. We bet you'll like it. Why not hold a little competition?"
"We'll call it, 'the guest relations, odd jobs contest at pension mitsuzu.'" Okay, this might be interesting, not even going to deny my curiosity is piqued. Besides, if I work and move around, maybe I'll feel less sore.
"It's pretty simple, we lend a hand around the place for the afternoon."
"And whoever makes the best impression on mitsuzu-chi gets to sleep in the vacant guest bedroom." Before anyone could object, Mitsuzu-chi popped in with their opinion.
"That's brilliant! I think it's an absolutely delightful idea!" Misuzu-chi said happily. At least someone was excited for this. "Yes, the winner of the contest will be decided by how refreshing they are! Remember, refreshing is the name of the game in guest relations."
"Refreshing! Refreshing! Yay!"
"Now, don't think this is gonna be a walk in the park! Cause I'm planning on working all of you to the bone!" Poor haruhi. She groaned from next to me.
"Sounds like a blast." She said in a miserable tone."
And so, we were all working. I was working the tables and helping in the kitchen, charming people with a smile. But table seven was a table with a bunch of buff guys who acted like dickheads. What's worse, they looked to be American like me. Bunch of college bros here on summer vacation."Hello there! Welcome to pension misusu! I'm y/n, and I'll be your waitress for today!" I said with a smile. Hopefully they would be mature enough to not do anything. "Now, can I get you started with anything? Drinks?"
"How about a drink of that pussy?" One said, and my smile dropped. I took a deep breath and forced a smile back onto my face. I watched as this guy high fived his bro's for such a comment and bit my tongue.
"How about some water instead?" Don't slap them y/n... Don't slap them...
"Fine, Water it is."
"Can we get a couple beers?"
"I'm going to have to see some ID for those sir. I'd rather not get in trouble for serving such a thing to someone under 20." Also known as Japan's legal drinking age. At least their Japanese was good enough that they spoke it to me. Did they not realize I'm not originally from Japan? The two who asked for beers showed their ID cards from the states and they were both 21. I nod and turn to the last guy, who was chortling about something. "And you sir?"
"Some coke." I nod.
"I'll be right out with those drinks!" I said with a polite smile. When I got to the kitchen where misusu-chi was cooking, I sighed, and he turned to me.
