Alice woke up with a headache. Something was wrong, she quickly opened her eyes. She looked around the room, she didn't recognize the place. Her arms hurt and she tried moving them, she couldn't. She looked up and saw her arms tied up to the headboard post. She started pulling on the rope but it felt tighter the more she pulled.
She noticed she was naked. What happened? The last thing she remembered was fighting with Mike in that dark parking lot. Did he do this to her? The room had no windows. She started screaming until her throat hurt. A few minutes later she heard a door open. Mike came into sight. "Okay, I'm going to loosen your binds so you can come and have breakfast. Just know, you can scream all you want, we are in the middle of nowhere, plus you are in a bunker, so nobody can hear you. Don't try to escape, I locked the door behind me. You're going to be a good girl and do as I say. Are we clear?" He asked pulling on her binds. She nodded.
He let her loose. She rubbed her wrists and shoulders from the pain. He threw her a shirt for her to wear. She put it on and walked towards a table he pointed. There he had set up breakfast for them. "I'm not hungry." She said ignoring her stomach grumbling.
"I don't care. You're going to sit down and eat. You're going to need your energy." He said, pushing her down on the chair.
"Why are you doing this, Mike? I thought you loved me."
"And because I love you I'm doing this. It's your fault. You jumped into conclusions without even giving me a chance." He said as he slammed his fist on the table. She jumped startled.
"What did you want me to do? I went over to your place and this woman, saying she was your wife, answered the door."
"Did she actually say she was my wife? Mike Cunningham's wife?"
"I asked for you and she asked why I was looking for her husband."
"But did you say my last name?"
"What does your last name matter?" She said getting up.
"Because that was Theresa, she and her husband, Mike Phillips, own the building. I was planning on leaving and getting a bigger place so she was checking it out to see if it needed any fixes before renting it." Mike said, standing and grabbing her by her arms and shaking her.
"Why didn't you say something?"
"I tried yesterday, but you wouldn't let me."
She looked around, it had all been a misunderstanding. But, he still kidnapped her. This wasn't right. She needed to get away. "Let me go, we can start over again. I'm so sorry." She said, stroking his face.
"No, Alice. I can't let you go. I can't lose you. You are mine. Remember, you said you were all mine." He said, trying to kiss her.
"Sorry, but not like this. You can't keep me locked up."
He walked back to the table and grabbed the plates. "There's a bathroom around the corner. I'm going to give you some time to think. I'll see you later."
"No, please. Don't leave me locked in here!" She pleaded as he walked out and locked the door behind him.
