Two weeks passed and she would spend the day sitting in his lap watching tv and at night he would cuff her to bed, get on top of her and have sex with her before rolling over and going to sleep. In the beginning she couldn't stand it. She would fight the urges to push him away, but she didn't want to go back to the bunker. And now it had become a routine, everything he was doing to her. As she heard him snore next to her, she started feeling sick. "Mike! Mike!" She yelled, pushing him.
"What is it? Are you okay?" He said, stirring in his sleep.
"I'm going to be sick. Can you remove this, please. Hurry!" She said as he got up to look for the keys. He unlocked her and she bolted to the bathroom. She started to throw up and he came and held her hair up.
"Was it something you ate?" He asked as he rubbed her back.
"I think I need a doctor, Mike. I don't feel well. Everything is spinning."
"You'll be fine. It's probably just a stomach bug."
"What if it's not?" She snapped looking back at him.
"Hey, I'm here supporting you. Don't be snapping at me."
"I can't keep doing this, Mike. I can barely sleep with my arm cuffed up like that. It's been two weeks and you still have me tied up. Can't you see I'm not going anywhere?"
"I can't risk it, Alice. I finally have you all to myself. I can't let you go. You have no idea of everything I've done for you, for us."
"What are you talking about?" She said as she rested her head on the cold toilet.
He sat behind her and continued rubbing her back. "I got Landon out of our way. He wouldn't leave you alone, ever. He was like a dog after a bone." He said as she slowly turned around to look at him.
"What?"
"There were so many obstacles in our relationship. Landon, Patrice pushing to meet me and putting ideas in your head, your parents trying to control your life. I had to get rid of those obstacles."
"No, you didn't. You're behind everything that has happened to me and those around me?"
"Like I said, obstacles. You are mine. I needed to make you see that. To only need me."
"Did you kill Landon?"
"Yes, I grabbed him while he was jogging and took him to the motel. There I put him on the tub and slit his wrists. It was quite easy. I thought it would make you happy to finally be rid of him. But I have to admit, your worrying and grieving got me jealous for a moment there, but then you ran to my arms that night they found him and it made me feel better. I would've taken you that night too. You were making it so easy. But I restrained myself. I had to be the better man and show you respect."
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Patrice was right, he was a psychopath! Patrice! "Did you... did you run over Patrice?"
"Yes, I had to make her disappear. She wasn't a good friend, Alice. She outed us to your parents and was putting ideas in your head about me." He said, turning her around and grabbing her hands. "But the bitch survived, but luckily I scared her off and she ran back home. Then all that was left were your parents."
"But they are fine. You haven't hurt them, right?" She asked, afraid to know the truth.
"Are they? Who do you think exposed your father? Those pictures were not hard to find, let me tell you. He should learn how to cover his tracks better. I thought exposing him would break up your family that way they would give you more freedom. I was not expecting your mother to stay by his side and forgive him. And I was not expecting you guys to lose everything. That was a plus, let me tell you." He said laughing. "I'm sorry you lost your job, that was really not my intention." Getting serious again he grabbed her face. "Then you had to move to that dump and that guy was harassing you. I made the anonymous tip that got him arrested, by the way. I was sure you would come crawling to me, accepting my offer to move in with me. That's all you had to do. All this could've been avoided."
"You ruined my life, Mike! My family's and friends' lives. You're a killer. Oh, no. I'm going to be sick again!" She said, turning back to the toilet. He tried grabbing her hair again but she pushed him away. He stood up and turned away from her. She quickly got up and grab the lid of the water tank and swung it at his head. He fell hard on the floor.
