2:45 am

You squinted at the impossibly bright screen, reading the time that was displayed on your phone. It really was late, wasn't it? And yet, your body felt not an ounce of exhaustion.

After confronting Rin, you had decided to take a nap to clear your head. Given the opportunity to overthink his words, you would probably just make yourself feel worse about the situation, so distracting yourself with a nap was the best option at the time. Apparently, It was more like a full blown hibernation than a nap, seeing as you slept all through the afternoon, evening, and into the early morning.

At first, you wanted to stay in your bed and wait until you fell asleep again, but there was one small complication...

You were starving!

Not only had you skipped breakfast yesterday, but sleeping the whole afternoon meant you also didn't eat anything for lunch or dinner. There were rules set in place by the facility, stating that if you got caught outside of your room past curfew it could result in an expulsion from the Blue Lock program... but at the moment you didn't really care about the rules, not when your stomach was practically eating itself inside-out.

You would just sneak a little snack from the canteen, and rush back as soon as possible. No big deal!

Quietly as possible, you climbed down the ladder that connected the top bunk to the floor and slipped your binder on. That was the one good thing that came from messing up your sleep schedule, you got first pick in which bed you wanted unlike the other boys who got stuck with the bottom bunk.

Glancing at the person who took the bed under yours, you saw Bachira peacefully sleeping. The boy unknowingly embodied tranquility in his deep slumber. You really didn't think you would ever reach the same level of contentment in your life, as Bachira did in his sleep.

Growing closer to the boy, you surprisingly found yourself appreciating his looks. You never considered yourself to be someone who cared much for appearances. Of course, you were human and occasionally took notice of someone who you thought was good-looking however you tried to not let it affect your overall impression of someone.

Bachira was far from what you would consider a typical 'manly man' would look like, but he held his own unique charm to him just as everyone did. His bob was messily sprawled all over his pillow, and framed his face in a way that complimented his round cheeks. You watched in a daze as his soft eyelashes fluttered against his clear skin, you hadn't even realized that Bachira was waking up from his slumber.

"Hmm?" He said as he rubbed his eyes. "[Lastname], Is that you? Is it morning already?"

You froze on the spot.

Crap, you really didn't intend on waking Bachira up! Knowing the boy, he would totally try and join you in sneaking out.

It's not like you didn't mind his presence or anything, but if he got caught you would really feel guilty about the whole thing. Or even worse, if he got kicked out of Blue Lock for sneaking out.

"Shhhh-" You cooed, holding up a finger to his mouth, effectively silencing Bachira. With your other hand, you covered his eyes in the hopes it would encourage him to fall back into a peaceful slumber. "I'm not real, you're dreaming. Just fall back asleep, and everything will be fine,"

"But... If I'm dreaming doesn't that mean I'm already asleep? How can I fall asleep, if i'm already sleeping?" He questioned. "Man, your logic really sucks, hehe~."

Fuck. He got you there. The only time Bachira relied on logic, and it just had to be while you were trying to coax him into sleeping.

Biting your tongue, you fought against your urge to just force him back to sleep and instead responded sweetly to him. "Well, you know since it's a dream that means anything's possible... I think?"
