It was your third day in the fourth stage, and not one group dared to challenge your team. You watched your stylish teammate fail to convince people to play a four-on-four match with your team.

"Hey, you guys." Aryu said, as he flipped a lock of his hair behind his back. "How about a match with us instead."

The other males backed away nervously once they got a look at the boy. News had spread all through the fourth stage about a team that consisted of the top three ranked player. Needless to say, nobody really wanted to play against you guys. Not if they wanted to keep their spots at Blue Lock.

"I'll have to pass on that offer."

"Absolutely not!"

"Who'd want to anyways!"

Your teammate sighed, as he ran a hand through his hair. "How many teams have declined us now? This place is filled with a bunch of scaredy cats."

"Totally." You agreed, as you leaned against the lunch table that Bachira had been happily munching his curry at. "At this rate, we might actually fail due to the time requirements of the challenge."

It was an obvious act of cowardice from the other teams, yet you suppose you could sympathize with them a bit. Afterall, you too would be weary about going up against the top three had you not been part of the group. Still, it puts you guys in a rough position nonetheless.

Aryu stuck his nose up at the boys who ran away from your team. "Even if we defeat those teams it won't be pretty. Those guys are probably gonna drop out, too."

"I didnt wanna play against those guys anyways." Bachira said, as he shoved another spoon full of curry into his mouth. "I was planning to wait for Isagi's team to catch up, so we can play against them."

You hummed in agreement. Isagi's team would probably be the only bastards crazy enough in this entire facility to willingly challenge the top three, so you really didn't have a choice but to wait for them. That was something you admired about the boy, his resilience and desire to improve was nothing to scoff at. Aside from that fact, you also really wanted to play Isagi and Nagi again because if you didn't, you would think your continued would stop worrying about them. Seeing them again would certainly be a big stress relief for you, but it would also be interesting to see what kind of team they formed too.

All in all, you were more than happy to continue waiting for Isagi's team to ascend the ranks.

"Oh, by the way, where's Rin?"

"He's in the training room." You interjected "I was hanging out with him just before I came over here."

You found yourself willingly spending your free time around Rin in between begging sessions of trying to get other teams to play you, often going to the practice field together to play. The boy was a surprisingly chill dude when you got to know him, and always had good tips to give you which you appreciated.

Ever since that conversation at the field, things between you had been pretty peaceful. Especially for someone as aggressive as Rin. You would even dare say he perhaps enjoyed your presence, or at very last tolerated it. Though you could imagine it wasn't because of your lovable personality and instead because you were just so persistent that he finally gave up on trying to keep you away. Both situations you saw as a win anyways.

Suddenly Bachira stood up from his seat.

"I'm gonna go join Rin!" He said happily. "I wanna see what Mr. number one is capable of! [Lastname], you coming too?"

"I'll pass, not in the mood for football." You sighed as you slumped into the seat that Bachira just got up from. "Rin is seriously insane when it comes to that sport. Sometimes it's hard to believe he's a year younger than us, and not some professional player in a teen's body."
