A/N: this is like a week late, im sorry. I felt like there was a lot of pressure to write this chapter, especially since it's the big reveal. I didn't know how to incorporate everyone's reactions since there's so many people while also balancing the situation happening. I know everyone wanted to see individual reactions to the characters finding out MC's gender, but i just couldn't fit it in/ it wouldn't make sense in the context of the scene to just randomly put a character's pov. So ya, more reactions will spill out in other chapters but I'm just trying to get by. I know i'm making just making excuses, but ya.

"Ego... She still isn't here..."

The voice of Ego's assistant rang through the man's ears, as the two of them looked at the security camera ahead. Ego sat in his chair while his assistant stood behind him. His legs were sat in a crouched position, reaching up to the point where he could almost rest his chin on his knees. The loud slurping of his ramen filled the void of silence between the two.

"It's fine." The man monotonously stated, all the while still slurping his noodles carelessly. "Everything will go as planned." Anri could feel her blood boil at his words.

It's fine?... Like hell it's fine! Nothing was fine, and he knew it! He had to! They were running out of budget, the JFC was on their ass and they were quite literally on the verge of getting this whole project shut down! This was the opposite of okay! Tensions were high, and the two of them had their jobs hanging by a thread.

And yet the man in front of her ate his noodles like he was on a paid vacation, as if she hadn't been hauling her ass around to keep this place from falling apart! Don't get it wrong, Anri truly believed in Ego and trusted him completely. However, she couldn't help but feel stressed at the situation at hand, that was just the kind of person she was.

It seemed like nothing was going to plan.

"I thought you said you were sure she was coming..." The female assistant mumbled, while looking at the large monitor that displayed the participants. The woman didn't bother to count all of the participants in the room, she was sure most of them were already there by now anyways, but she could tell you weren't one of the many people there. As the only girl, you would kinda stick out like a sore thumb.

All she could see was a clump of various players, some she could recognize faintly from their accomplishments. She could identify the long haired speedster, Chigiri. She could identify the perfect all rounder, Reo Mikage too. She could identify the freestyle dribbler, Meguru Bachira. Sticking out even more than the rest were the top six who had been selected to be team captain, standing all in a straight line away from the rest. Yet there were zero signs of you.

"I won't lie, I did say that I thought [Name] would come." Ego replied, his voice muffled by the ramen in his mouth. "However, I never guaranteed it. The statistics were like a... 76% chance she would show? In the end, we gave her a choice and she made it. We can't complain, only move forward without plans."

Anri masked her disappointment at his words and looked down to see the time displayed on her phone. It was a few minutes past 7 am, meaning you were now officially late. It really was a shame.

The woman really did have a sense of fondness for you, seeing as you were girl in an all male facility. The respect she held for you was enormous, and she truly was rooting for you in the shadows. There was just something about you, it wasn't just the aspect of you being a girl but also you as a person, that brought a sense of hope where you went. It was nice to see someone like her up there playing on the screen, it gave a sense of warmness to her heart.

To think you would truly go. It was a shame, really.

Anri turned back to her superior, with a small frown. "You should start the announcements now. The players who have gathered are probably waiting for you to start forming the teams."
