Misunderstanding (JAKEHOON)

SUNKI IS TOGETHER! I REPEAT! SUNKI IS TOGETHER! THIS IS NOT A DRILL

"H-hey Sunoo," Niki said rubbing the back of his neck. The two usually walked home together and as usual they met at the building entrance. But both planned to confess, so the air was thick with tension.

"Hey Niki!" Sunoo was much better at hiding his nervousness. "Ready to go?"

Niki nodded and the two began to walk. Sunoo started a conversation about how he heard that Seojun got expelled. He was Sunoo after all. He knew all the tea.

Both Sunoo and Niki were laughing their asses off when Niki finally worked up the courage to say something.

"Hey Sunoo?" Niki started.

"Yeah?" Sunoo asked.

"C-can i tell you something?"

Sunoo raised his eyebrow. "Sure. And actually i have something to tell you too."

Niki blinked then pointed at the other. "You first."

Sunoo shook his head. "You asked first. You should go first."

"I-i well," Niki stuttered. "I-i l-li-ike...y-o-ou."

Sunoo tilted his head. "What did you say?" He knew very well what he said. He just wanted to hear Niki say it clearly.

"I-l-lik-e-"

"OH! You like me?? Is that it?" Sunoo asked with a charming grin.

"How...?" Niki trailed off.

Sunoo giggled then pecked Nikis cheek. The youngers face went red.

"Don't worry," Sunoos voice was full of sincerity. "I like you too. Thats what i wanted to tell you."

Niki was frozen in shock. Then his arms wrapped the older boy into a hug. Sunoo smiled and hugged him back.

"Just to clarify," Sunoo whispered. "You're the little spoon."

W/ the others

"Hey guys?" Jay announced getting everyones attention.

"Whats up?" Jake said around his lollipop.

"Well...me and Jungwon," Jay took the youngers hand. "We're together."

"Bout time," Sunghoon rolled his eyes earning a glare from Jungwon. "What? Every morning you would talk about just him. Now my ears get a break is all im saying," Jungwon had already told him so it wasn't as big of a shock.

Jake snickered. Heeseung gave a small "im so done" sigh then looked at Jay and Jungwon. "We're happy for you guys. Congratulations!" He subtly kicked Jake in the shin.

"Wh-oh yeah if course we're happy for you guys," Jake nodded.

Heeseung began to ask them how they got together. Sunghoon, who had already heard the story from Jungwon, turned to Jake then asked, "Who's Hyejoon?"

Everyone suddenly became quiet. Jakes eyes widened. Jay and Heeseung looked at each other in panic. Jungwon glanced at Sunghoon looking just as confused as he felt.

"Where did you hear 'Hyejoon' from, Sunghoon?" Heeseung asked his voice cautious. He looked a Jake which made everyone look at Jake. His expression was guarded.

"I heard Jake mention it," Sunghoon said. "Is it a bad topic? I didn't mean to over-"

"Its fine," Jake cut off. His voice sounded mad. "He is my little brother."

Sunghoon nodded not wanting to make anyone anymore uncomfortable.

The next day

"Hey Jake?" Sunghoon said. The older boy was sitting in his usual seat at the back of the class. Sunghoon arrived early like usual so it was just the two of them in the room.

"What?" Jake glanced up at the younger and was surprised to see the amount of sincerity in his eyes.

"Im sorry if what i said made you uncomfortable," Sunghoon said.

Jake looked surprised. "Its fine," he reassured.

"Are you sure?"

Jake looked the younger boy in the eye. "Yes im sure. You asked a question not knowing the context. Its fine. You didn't know," Jake was about to look away but Sunghoon held his gaze.

"I still feel bad," Sunghoons voice grew softer.

"Don't," Jake shrugged. He studied the youngers eyes. He hadn't noticed how beautiful they are. "Y'know? You're not as bad as i thought."

Sunghoon laughed. "You're not so bad yourself," he said with a chuckle.

"You're still annoying though," Sunghoon said with a smile.

Jake smirked. "And i have every intention of keeping it that way."

"Do you have every intention of staying short? Because you're doing great at that," Sunghoons smirk matched Jakes previous one.

"Im not THAT short!" Jake glared.

Ima cut this off here because if I continue it'll get wayyyyyyy to long. Also sry for not updating yesterday! We are taking care of a bunny this weekend so i was sending all my time with her. Sorry! Ily all tho
