THROUGHOUT her time working with Matt, Eden had never experienced anything like this. Sure, she's encountered her share of criminals in Hell's kitchen. But, nothing nearly compared to what she was about to see.

The "Change of heart" plan is what she likes to call it. After learning what Peter had been attempting to accomplish with all of these "enemies," she gave it that name. It seemed rather fitting for the occasion.

Here she was standing in the middle of a high school science classroom (which brought back memories she had long forgotten). This yellow portal shining brightly in her eyes and a lizard that was about to charge directly at them. The lizard's scaly skin glints in the harsh fluorescent light, its eyes gleaming with predatory intensity.

It roars, a deep guttural sound that reverberates through the room. The force of the noise vibrates through Eden's body, and she can almost feel the weight of the lizard's charging body in the floor beneath her feet.

"Ned...please tell me you know how to close the portals!" Eden's eyes widen as the lizard takes big steps towards them. His eyes raging with red and fury.

"I've opened them... but I have never closed them!" Ned starts to panic. In an effort to seal the gateway, he's circling and waving his hands in the air. He makes several attempts but is unsuccessful.

"Ned...close it!"

"I'm trying! I've never done this before!" Ned tries again, moving his fingers in a circle, but nothing appears to be working. He can move as quickly or slowly as he wants, but the portal just won't close.

"Okay, okay. You two? Get ready to run," Eden stands in front of the two of them ready to defend them with her life. The lizard is just a meter away from attack. Ned and MJ head towards the back of the classroom and onto the tower outside. Peter soon joins Eden to help fight off the lizard.

"Eden! I thought you had this under control!" Peter shouts, while she sidesteps the attack, then spins around and delivers a well-aimed kick to the lizard's stomach.

"I did! Ned couldn't close the portal in time!" Eden grabs the lizard by the arm and swings him around as much as she can, but it's short lived and she's found herself struggling to get back up from the impact he threw at her.

The air is thick with the smell of blood and sweat, the tension in the room palpable.

Her body aches, she's felt this sensation before, she knows she can get back up and it's not the end yet. She lays there for a second but gets up and jogs over to Peter. "Connors stop!" They both run after him as quickly as they can, trying to get to him before he gets to MJ and Ned.

Another portal is opened when Ned moves his hands, but this time water rushes out. The water from the portal sprays onto the floor, creating a slick, slippery surface that adds to the chaos. It sends Connors back.

Peter grabs the cure and throws it over to MJ, who catches it with ease, and then passes it back to Peter when he's fully open to throw it in Connors direction.

Green air is spitted out of the tube and Connors is turning back to human. "Oh my god, Parker."

Eden can't see it, but Peter is grinning as big as he can. Peter's worries and doubts were gradually beginning to fade. He had proved everyone wrong.

The way Peter moves is different now - his muscles ripple beneath his suit, and his eyes are focused with an intensity that wasn't there before. His posture is straight and confident, his shoulders back.

"We gotta hide this thing!" MJ tells Ned from the level above.

"Right, right," Ned does his routine in order to open the portal back up and through the portal Strange walks out and is out of breath.

"Where is he?"

"Wait...wait, Mr.Strange, Dr.Strange? Before you do anything, his plan is working."

"What plan?" Strange's head tilts, and his eyebrows furrow.

"He's curing them!" Ned points over at Eden and Peter. Ned's voice is breathless as he tries to explain Peter's plan to Strange, his hands gesturing wildly as he describes the steps they've taken so far.

Connors is turning back into his human form, and he can't believe what he's seeing.

"We'll I'll be damned...did you just open a portal?"

"Yes—yes, sir, I did."

Strange hums and walks off without another word. This whole situation he'd been in was bizarre and chaotic, so he didn't really have the words to express how he was feeling.

He meets the Peters and Eden on one of the platforms. Strange's face is a study in concentration as he holds the box, his fingers poised over the button.

"Strange, wait! We're so close!" Peter rips his mask off and tries to explain to Strange his plan.

"Zip it! I have been dangling over the grand canyon for twelve hours!"

"I know, I know, I know. I, uh, um... um. I'm sorry about that sir."

"While you were dangling over the Grand Canyon, Dr. Strange...Peter was out here saving lives! Something that he could have used your help on, but instead you push him away because you're what? scared? You were scared because you knew his plan could have worked, and guess what? It goddamn did, believe it or not," As Eden exhales, a sense of relief washes over her.

In that moment, all of the frustration, the anger, the disappointment that she's been holding onto just seems to melt away. It's like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders.

Strange looks at her. His face is as straight as can be and he takes a few steps forward. Peter steps in just in case things get messy. "Sir..."

For a minute, nothing happens, and he stands there staring. But then? He takes his hand out for her to shake and so she takes it in her own with a firm grip.

"It seems as though you and Peter have proved me wrong, I see that, and I'm impressed. But this has to end, now."

"Can the Spider-Man come out to play?" Osborn swoops in like a malevolent bird of prey, his eyes narrowed with a predatory gleam.

He unleashes a barrage of miniature weapons, their metallic clatter filling the air like a swarm of angry bees, but Octavious is quick to destroy them with his arms.

As Osborn snatches the box and flies off, everything goes haywire. The sky turns dark and brooding, lightning crackles in the distance, and the ground beneath their feet starts to shake
