The clothing store the king sent us to was called Hawthorne and you could easily get lost in it.

"Looking for something?" the clerk asked.

"Yes, some decent clothes," Jethro answered before I could.

"You will find we have the best selection of clothes in Vesperis."

"Could we look at some?" I asked.

"Right this way," he gestured.

We followed him into a dark room and I cast Sparklight.

"Thank you for that," he said thankful.

"You aren't surprised?" asked Jethro.

"No, because I know who you two are."

"Who are we? I asked nervously.

"The heroes of Colmer."

"We don't feel like heroes," Jethro said gloomily

"Can I interest you in some armor?"

"Sure!" I said.

"You never know when Maelfor will return."

"How do you know about him?" I asked in horror

"Because I am him," he smiled.

"Hold on, how did you get this body?"

"Simply, I possessed it."

"You are not Maelfor!" I yelled.

"Really now?" he taunted.

"Yeah, really," Jethro replied in annoyance.

"Could a demon do this?" He swung a copper sword at us.

Zaxl had enough of him and beat the shopkeeper up with his bare hands.

He beat him into a bloody pulp and we begged Zaxl to heal him.

"No!" he shouted.

"Then we will do it ourselves," Jethro said, his contempt clearly visible.

"This man killed my entire village!" he cried.

"How do you heal?" I asked.

"Thyu tase knad," he spoke through gritted teeth.

We cast the spell and his face was instantly restored.

"Will he remember any of this?"

"Doubtful, I hit him pretty hard," Zaxl admitted

"This is not our guy," I said through tears.

"I overreacted," Zaxl said through more tears.

All of a sudden the owner woke up.

"Who are you?" he asked each of us.

"You really don't remember us?" Jethro gasped

"I have never met any of you! Guards!" he shouted.

Guards came rushing in and led us toward Bastur Prison.

Well, we are screwed.
