Zaxl got to work right away, casting a healing circle about the size of a medium-sized field. It enveloped everyone and I could see people crying the blessing. They bowed at Zaxl's feet much to his embarrassment.

He placed the jar with Maelfor in it on the ground. The villagers must have sensed the bad vibes from it because they didn't even ask about it, withdrawing their gazes instead.

"We captured a demon. That's why we keep the jar," he explained.

"Oh...." an old woman with wiry gray hair said.

"Yup, stay away from it!" Jethro shouted.

"No need to shout, Jethro!" I winced.

"Sorry, I just wanted to illustrate a point," he explained.

"I think you made it quite bloody clear, J," Zaxl reminded him.

"We gotta go now, see you guys around!" I said excitedly. We actually cured the village. Now the only thing that was left was to see our father who was likely dying of worry.

"Bye, everyone," I waved to the crowd and a little boy walked up to me and hugged me, he looked like a younger version of Jethro which I found quite amusing.

"One day you'll be a great warrior," Jethro encouragingly said to him. The kid just giggled and said, "Thank you."

"Now, it's time to go, everyone!" I beckoned.

"Indeed, time to go home," Zaxl said longingly.

"You can teleport to the Marsh if you want to, Zaxl," I reminded him.

"I will miss Stella," he said, tears spilling from his eyes.

"Damn it, let's go already!" Jethro roared.

"Going," I reminded him and walked down Solstice Hill with him.

"Here's to Colmer!" Jethro shouted.

"To Colmer!" I joined in.

"To Colmer," Zaxl joined in.

Our father was beyond shocked when we knocked on his door.

"Sons, we have much to discuss," my father spoke in a gruff voice.

"Indeed we do," I said.

"Like why the hell do you have a halberd!" my father exclaimed.

"A giant gave that to me. Her name is Ysolda.

"And what is this jar you are carrying?" he asked inquisitively.

"Don't touch that!" the three of us shouted.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was a big deal," he shrugged.

"That jar holds the body of a ghoul who has committed unspeakable atrocities," Zaxl explained.

"Wait, you're a Draulter! I thought you guys went extinct." my father crudely said.

"So did I until I discovered the Marsh," Zaxl explained.

"Legend says your kind can do magic, could you show me some?" he asked.

Zaxl showed him Sparklight and my father was beyond impressed.

"Marvelous! Were you the one who healed the village?

"Yes, he was," Yuna teleported herself into the village.

"Mother, I don't know what to even say!" my father was speechless.

"You don't have to say anything," she softly reminded him.

"You three are true heroes! I am so proud of you. Know that I'll always be watching over you, I will not let you die in vain. You and your offspring will reign supreme. Yours too, Jethro! I think a certain naiad is waiting for you. Travert won't be a problem soon," she materialized a bag of ten thousand coppers and told us to take it to Travert but make sure his lips were unzipped first.

We ran to Travert and undid Lippus Zippus. He was more than a little pissed off.

"What's this?" he asked noticing our bag.

"That's our way outta here, you lousy bastard!" Jethro yelled.

"But but," he stammered.

"No buts here, Travert, we are buying our freedom and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it. The lord becomes the servant," I reminded him.

"Fine, just go..." he pointed in the opposite direction.

"Gladly," Zaxl said joyfully.

We went back to our father who was impressed by our actions.

"Now, we can live like lords ourselves," Father commented.

"Indeed, but let's be careful with our finances lest we become reckless," Jethro wisely said.

"You three will be careful, I promise," Yuna spoke gently.

"So this is it?" I asked.

"Looks like it, brother," Jethro sighed.
