I was the first to wake up and was terribly confused. How did we get here to begin with? Who or what brought us in, and why? Were they monsters who planned to cook us? But then, that wouldn't explain our teleportation. I wanted answers and I wanted them fast.
"Someone please help!" I shouted. That woke up Jethro who was just as shocked as I was.
"What the bloody hell is this place?!" he roared.
"This is where the mages of Cornflower were taught, this is the School of Arcanus," the ceiling said.
"Show yourself, I'm begging you!" I pleaded.
"Very well," the voice spoke and took on a form. He was an old man whose wrinkles had wrinkles.
"Why the eff did you teleport us?" Jethro asked quite rudely.
"The forest is a dangerous place. I saved your very lives I feel.
"What's your name, old man?" I asked.
"Gideon, I know the secrets of teleportation and I'd be willing to teach you them for a small price," he grinned.
"What bloody price?!" Jethro snapped.
Zaxl woke up finally and realized we weren't in the forest anymore. He reached for his scythe, attempting to swing it. Gideon pushed it back with a wind spell like what Zaxl cast when we were approaching his cabin. Zaxl came tumbling into a bookshelf and I must admit, it was slightly amusing.
"This magic is amazing," Zaxl hissed.
"Glad you think so! Now, the small price is a change in one's personality. Who do you think should have theirs changed?"
We both looked at Jethro who just scowled.
"Are you serious, Gideon?" Jethro asked hesitantly.
"'Fraid so, I'm sorry in advance for the taste," he said as he teleported a gray potion.
"He won't be a prat anymore then?" I asked.
"Nope, open up your mouth, Jethro," he gently said.
"Well, okay," he asked, nervous as hell itself.
Gideon poured the potion down his throat and Jethro began to gag from the potion, finishing it despite this. I was curious about the personality change.
"Arthur, I'm so sorry about my behavior on this journey!" he fell to his knees and wept.
"All is forgiven," I smiled.
"And I'm sorry for swearing so much," he cried out.
"All good bro!" I hugged him. He accepted it with gratitude and didn't shy away.
"I like this new you!" Zaxl cheerfully hissed.
"Believe me, I like it too. Gideon, will you teach us the powers of teleportation? Please."
"Sure, just say Teleportum Destinarium three times and picture the location you want to go to.
"See, Yuna refused to teach us how to," I frowned.
"This is because the power can be abused," he explained.
"Makes sense," I said.
"Let's go find Stella and get the eff outta here," Zaxl whispered practically.
"Good luck, you three!" Gideon said tearily.
"Thank you, sire," Jethro nodded.
"Ready?" Zaxl asked.
"Always!" I confirmed.
"Teleportum Destinarium," we each shouted three times over.
We opened our eyes and there was Stella with the jar.
"I thought I was never going to see you guys again!" She gave us a feathery hug and that was the story of how we got Stella back.
