Nothing crazy happened on our way back up the mountain and we were more than thankful. It really was a relief to finally get a break. Considering our adventures, we went through some tough trials: goblins, scorpions, trolls, beholders, and two dragons. And that's just scratching the surface!
"I'm sorry for my behavior on this journey," Jethro unexpectedly said.
"It's okay, brother," I said with a sigh.
"You are lovable that way," Zaxl jested and punched him in the shoulder a little too strongly.
"Ow, you jerk!" Jethro roared in pain.
"Sorry, human. I did not realize my strength."
"Forget it, we need to put Maelfor in a jar. Then, we need to seal that sucker with some magic."
"Let's go, time's a wasting!" I said.
We walked up to Maelfor's shriveled-up body and placed it in the jar.
"Easy as pie!" Jero exclaimed.
"There is still trouble ahead. The only question is will we find it first or will it find us?"
"I don't like to think like that."
"Oh, shoot, we didn't put a seal on the jar!" I commented in horror.
"I'm on it," Zaxl said. He chanted some Draultese and I stopped Jethro from trying to repeat it.
"Come on, why you gotta be a pain in the arse, A?"
"I love you too much, moron."
"I love you too!"
"So, how long will he stay trapped?" I asked.
"Give or take, five thousand years.
"What happens after that?"
"Hell if I know..." he droned.
"Yuna, please teleport us, we beat Maelfor!"
"Some things you gotta do yourself," she warned.
"Screw you, Yuna. We are better than this!" Jethro yelled.
"Then prove it. All you gotta do is survive."
