I became weaker each time the water dragged me down and stole the air from my lungs. I felt my body start to grow numb, and after a while, I wasn't afraid anymore. I had no strength to feel anything anymore. I had accepted death.
I heard my mother call out to me from above, and when I looked at the sky, I saw her in all her radiant glory. She had never seemed so happy, and seeing her joy filled me with tears of happiness.
"Mother, please, I miss you so..." I croaked.
"I'm here for you, Arthur; you just need to let go. Let Yuna welcome you to the Great Ether. No one will hurt us anymore. You'll be free," she coaxed me.
"What about Jethro? He is still out there somewhere a-a-nd he's all alone."
"Blessed are you, Arthur, for your exceeding faith," a different female voice called out. When I looked at the voice's origin, I was surprised to see that the speaker had no physical form. A blinding white sphere was in place of a physical body, like unto the sun.
"Who are you?" I called out in curiosity.
"It is improper for me to reveal this now. One day you will find out everything. Go and save your brother," she gently spoke.
Suddenly, I felt incredible strength flood my body. I felt exceedingly motivated to get out of the river and save my brother. I was so amazed by this newfound power that it took me five seconds to realize that the torrent of water had ceased. Now I had just one mission.
I had to save Jethro.
