"Jethro! Think about what you're doing!" I shouted.

"Why should I?"

"Because you're going to die if you take the eggs dumbass!" I shouted.

"I'm sorry, the vampire chick has some sort of hold on me. Please forgive me," he burst into tears. Even though he was invisible I saw the tears coming out his eyes.

"Turn visible, would you?" Zaxl asked in an annoyance.

"Fine," he wept.

"It's okay, bro," I eased a now visible Jethro into a hug.

"Thanks, I feel like such a failure sometimes.

"You're not," Zaxl hissed a low and throaty sound.

"Thanks, if only there was something to slow down my transformation into a vampire.

"There is," Yuna spoke gently.

"What?" he asked shocked.

"Lion snakeberry. I must warn you it is rather bitter.

"I don't care anything to slow the transformation down!" Jethro exclaimed.

The dragon looked at us puzzled and went to sleep making sure to cover its eggs in the process.

"Well, that won't be a problem anymore," Jethro softly spoke.

"The berry bush is right next to you," Yuna cooed.

"Great, let's get to it!" he exclaimed and pulled four or five berries off the bush. He chewed the berries to a pulp and I could tell he hated the taste by his grimace. I couldn't help but burst out laughing and Zaxl followed suit letting out a raspy repetitive hiss with each laugh.

"You guys, this isn't bloody funny!" he yelled and curled his hands into fists.

"No, it is hilarious! You should have seen your face," I chuckled before calming down.

"Haha very funny," he pouted.

"I'm sorry, J, I really am," I said offering him a hug. He reluctantly accepted it.

"Fine, let's visit Fallur and get the bloody spell or whatever," Jethro begged.

"Okay, let's go," Zaxl and I spoke simultaneously. This time we didn't laugh, though, as the situation was too dire to warrant any humor.

We continued and what we found next was dire.
