❝SHANTEY❞
With the Lights On Festival around the corner Shantey has been rehearsing nonstop intertwined with motherhood and preparing for her tour that's in just a few weeks. Her tour dates for her SL3 SOUTH TOUR was released yesterday and selling out every second and with the release of her new single ❝Irresponsible❞ being available on all music platforms has created even more buzz around her name other than everyone questioning about her divorce filing that's been in the air.Gratefully for the day she had a break and was meeting with a potential artist to sign to the label that Che and DeAundre told her and Amanda about. The label co-owners were waiting in the conference room with De and Blaze. She was sitting beside her best friend and with a glance she could tell Amanda still had the last week's situation on her mind which was something that was understood. She rested her hand on Amanda's, getting her gaze to pull off nothing and to her best friend.
"I'm not going to ask if you're okay because I know you're not. Instead I'll ask: how're you dealing?"
Amanda exhaled. "I don't even want to leave him out of my sight and although I know Scottie's there with the kids and she's great with them. But I can't leave him. There's a whole nanny at the house so we can handle business and I have Kareem stuck on me like glue. Everywhere I go, he go. Scottie probably thinking I think I'm too good."
The best friend's laughed lightly, and Shantey says, "Knowing Scottie; I'm sure she does. But she'll understand. This happened last week and even if it happened last year you still have all the right to keep your son with you every second. It was a traumatic experience for you and Kareem. Shit, me."
Amanda nodded. "I know you wanted me to come on tour with you but I can't. I can come out certain days but I gotta be here with Kareem and if we sign this new artist she's bringing I can be active and hands on with that."
"I'm sad that I won't have my person with me," Shantey admits with a short pout. "But I get it. You gotta do what makes you comfortable. I'ma cry when I get to the car so."
Amanda laughed. "You crybaby. We'll end up being on the phone every day anyway."
"Mm." Shantey playfully rolled her eyes. "I made sure not to book a show on Reems birthday so I'll fly back in. You know what you want to do yet? Terrible twos is coming your way. You been thinking I was playing about it."
Amanda chuckled saying, "Terrible twos; jeez. But I've been looking into San Diego. It's a Sesame Place there and he loves Cookie Monster. I think they can have some fun and we can eat. He'll enjoy it. I'll buy group tickets after I know who's all coming. I don't have family but you and my niece and nephews so if it's only us I'm perfectly fine with that."
