❝TAE❞
"Don't I make golf attire look good?" Tae gave his wife a slow full spin, donning a arctic white camouflage Polo top; the shaped hem untucked and stylish, and khaki Bermuda-length golf shorts with sahara leather Sperry boat shoes. The cap on his head matches the shirt he wore. He had on little-to-no jewelry, but the Tissot watch.
Holding Azoni up on her hip, Shantey nods in approval. "You don't look half bad. Can you even golf?"
"Went once wit the homies back in the day. I feel if I can shoot a three, I can hitta golf ball."
Shantey chuckles, "Don't believe that's how it goes."
"Who ready for some golf?!" Benjamin enters the family room where they were with his father by his side. "Bruh-in law!"
"Bruh-in law!" Tae enthusiasts, walking up and exchanging a fold up, "Now y'all don't clown my skills."
"It's all in ya stance." Pop Miller advised, "Where our caddy boys?"
"Caddy boys!" Tae calls childishly.
Simultaneously, Romeo, Kory, Ken, and Cru were walking in with identical blank faces and in their golf attire. "Do we really have to go to golfing, Momma? We look like idiots."
Shantey chuckles at Ken's distaste, walking over to them. "Stop it, y'all look handsome. Y'all have water, sunglasses? It's bright out today."
"Yeah. We got that for the Country Club look." Cru rolls his eyes, "Why can't I stay?"
"Cause you not," Romeo answers. "If I gotta go, you goin."
"Aight y'all, let's hit it." Pop Miller gestures the boys out with Cru groaning lightly and following out to the front door along with Benjamin.
"Y'all have a good time."
Tae leans over, kissing her and Azoni before leaving out. He joined them in the Cadillac Escalade and they drove a short distance to the AAE Country Club building. Luckily for the Fathers and sons, they didn't feel out of place with several men in attendance were Black themselves and to brought their son's along. They all knew and treated Pop Miller with the upmost respect cause he was the Country Club's founder.
"Ooh, can we go swimming instead?" Cru asked, spotting the empty and gated swimming pool.
"Do you see anybody over there?" Ken questions rhetorically.
"Yeah, it's closed till the Summer." Pop Miller informs, "Y'all coming back right?" he wonders, actually enjoying the presence of more male energy since he has majority daughters and only granddaughters.
"Yeah, we comin back," Tae assures as they approach the golf carts.
"Good!" Pop Miller smiles, tossing a golf cart key to Romeo, "Y'all follow us. No horse-playing."
