Something was different about today. Destiny realized it the moment she set foot into town with her books clutched in hand. The fact was cemented once she entered the library, because even the staff there was abuzz.

The FBI agents seemed oblivious, in their own little world. Tunnel vision of keeping their focus trained on her to the point where they were missing it.

She moved throughout the library and found a place to sit, making sure to keep as close as possible to the front desk. That was where most conversation seemed to happen in this place. When she found her seat, that forced the FBI shadows to find a place at a safe distance to lounge. That safe place seemed to be in a cocoon of sorts, away from most other activity in the library.

"...So beautiful in person, I swear."

"You should go, girl. You're the prettiest of us, so represent us. Who knows? Maybe you could get a modeling contract. Maybe you could get discovered."

    "The crazy you talk."

"You won't even try? Not even for him?"

"What would I look like plotting on him? He has been through it."

Destiny's breathing quickened and her pulse started to race, but she fixed her face behind the pages of her book.

"...A boat. A big one. Jet skis. There are supposed to be other celebrities there, you know how he moves. This could be our chance."

Destiny's eyes shifted from side to side, trying desperately to focus on the words before her face. It was a waste of effort. All she could pay attention to was the pieces of conversation she was picking up from about ten feet away.

"Syreena said that she saw him walking around town. He's always with this one guy, I don't know who he is. A friend, I guess. But there seems to be something going on with them."

Destiny frowned. It was the one statement that seemed a bit off. Still, she continued to listen.

"The boat ride is worth it alone and his people are reaching out to see which locals want to be in the video. Look, I grabbed a few of these for us."

Say his name, Destiny prayed. Please. I need you to say his name. She dared a look in their direction.

One girl handed the other what appeared to be a flyer. "When is it?"

"In two days. It starts early in the morning and continues throughout the rest of the day. There is even supposed to be something going on that night, but I'm not sure if everyone is invited to that or if that's just his crew."

I have to see what's on that page, but I don't want to draw the attention of Darius's guys. Tucking a few strands of blonde hair behind one ear, Destiny rose from her seat and walked over to the front counter. She smiled nervously. "Hi. I was wondering if you had the sequel to this book available? I checked but couldn't find it." She made a dramatic show of holding her book up and pointing to it, so the FBI agents knew that is what she was asking about.

The girl behind the counter stopped speaking to her friend in mid-sentence and turned her focus to Destiny. "I'm...not sure, let me check."

While she was away, Destiny turned to the tall, slender girl standing beside her. The girl had her hair styled into beautiful butterfly braids. Her skin was a pretty chocolate brown, and her features were gorgeous. "I couldn't help but hear some of your conversation," Destiny said to her.

The girl raised her eyes. "It's the talk of the town," she said, keeping her voice hushed. "Drake? Here?" She handed Destiny a sheet of paper. "My friend is too shy to go, but maybe you'll be a little braver than she will."
