She couldn't sleep after the conversation with Lena
She laid in bed all night thinking about her mint green eyes and her smile that was intoxicating
She rolls over and looks at her little clock, she can hear the clock mechanism tick in time in rhythm never out of sync
Trying to distract her mind from hearing the sound of the city below
The sun finally rises and Kara realizes she must've fallen back to sleep listening to the clock ticking away
She sped around getting ready, not use to having Alex around since Alex found a job and was able to get her own apartment a few days ago
The silent water drip from the faucet is getting on her nerves
Tapping at the countertop and barely cracks the surface of the table, when a knock jumps Kara back to reality and she scans the door to find a delivery on the ground in front of her door
"What the..?" Kara opens the door and takes the vase of flowers and a box of sticky buns and she reads the card "thought I send you something L" Kara smiles brighten at the cute idea
Kara suddenly grabs her phone and text Lena
"Thank you for the flowers you didn't have to do that for me.."
Lena's phone pings as she sits at her office desk typing away reports
"Yeah I did.. you seemed really upset after our conversation last night about your parents dying in a fiery car crash"
"I appreciate it lena thank you" Kara heart beats a little harder not noticing her blush on her cheeks
"Anytime.. want to meet up for lunch? I haven't found my apartment but I'm now in National City, decided to get a head start on my business, I need some ideas on a project"
Lena hesitant on sending the message at first kept deleting it and then reworded it
"Yes, 12pm sound good?" Kara still in her pjs and stained shirt from the sticky buns
"Great see you then! :)" Lena becomes distracted from remembering Kara ice blue eyes from the last time they met and her smile could melt her heart
Kara and Lena meet up at Kara's favorite pizza place, Lena shocked that Kara ate two whole pizzas and wings and devoured two milkshakes. Kara explains she has a date with a guy tomorrow and Lena keeps up with Kara nervousness about this date but noticed Kara can't stop touching Lena's arm and hand for every exciting topic and Kara's eyes brightens up her darken world. Lena decides to stay at Kara's place, they stay up watching movies and see Kara eating two pints of ice cream getting giddy over her favorite characters on wizard of Oz
**Two days later**
Lena didn't realize she was crushing over a Super till the day the plane gets saved by her.. and the girl she saw on the screen looked just like the girl she has been talking to
