Jimin crept inside the apartment as quietly as possible, making every effort to avoid making a sound of any kind. Even though waking Jin up was the last thing he wanted to do, he was shocked that Jin had not phoned him to see if he was okay and find out where he was. It was not part of his plan to spend the night away from home, but things happened that way.His eyes widened as he rounded the curve to pass through the kitchen, and then he blinked several times to ensure that what he saw was accurate. As he opened his eyes again, he saw the same image of Jungkook shirtless and cooking in their kitchen.
"W-what in the world are you doing here?" When he searched the area for Jin, it came out in a hushed whisper.
"How was your ice cream date?" Jungkook asked Jimin as he turned around, leaned against the kitchen counter, and gazed at him with his arms crossed over his chest.
Jimin couldn't stop his eyes from wandering over to Jungkook, and he surely understood how Jin may have taken a liking to the man. After he had spent the night with Taehyung, he saw it as a terrible injustice that the two of them were best friends. He was aware that they undoubtedly drew attention everywhere they went together.
"After you've finished staring, please don't hesitate to respond," When Jungkook could see Jimin was looking at him, he said with a smile as he continued to watch Jimin.
Jimin swallowed hard and turned his head aside before asking, "What are you doing here?"
"Seokjin lives here, correct?"
"Wait, you spent the night in this place?" Jimin's eyes expanded even more.
"I can see why the two of you get along so well now."
"What exactly do you mean? Who and I?" Jimin couldn't make head or tail of what Jungkook was saying.
Jungkook turned away from Jimin and went back to what he was doing before. "I am cooking breakfast for Seokjin. I think you should-"
After being prompted to pause in the middle of his task when the doorbell rang, Jungkook switched off the burner and proceeded to stroll by Jimin on his approach to the front door. While Jimin stood there perplexed, he was perplexed about several things, one of which was Jungkook going to open their door.
"Thank you." He heard Jungkook say to someone before the door clicked.
Shortly after, Jungkook came strolling back toward him with a paper bag. The name of their school clinic was printed in large, bold letters on the bag. He got intrigued about what was inside the bag, but he decided not to question Jungkook about it since the latter made him nervous. He didn't regard him as pleasant and was curious about how Jin communicated with him.
Yet, this did not prevent him from expressing something he had intended to express from the beginning of Jungkook's visit to their apartment. "Jin is a very important person in my life, and I hope that whatever your intentions are concerning him, they are positive. I am aware that he is very kind and naive and that it would be easy for someone to take advantage of him, but I swear that if you cause him to cry in any way, shape, or form, I will-"
"What are you going to do?" Jimin was startled when Jungkook walked in front of him and gazed down at him. "When it comes to you, what should I be terrified of?"
After Jungkook stepped in front of Jimin, Jimin took a few steps back since he had no idea how tall and muscular Jungkook was until then. As he turned away, he said, "I will report you to his parents! I have no doubt that they will figure out what to do with you!"
"That's really sweet," Jungkook stated before laughing and walking away from the conversation.
*****
When Jungkook moved the blanket, Jin griped and attempted to re-cover himself while pulling the cover back over his head. "Baby, it's time for you to get out of bed. I made you breakfast."
