"Jimin, I like you very much because you are so handsome. I'm not too fond of many people, but I like you, and in a way, I have grown to think of you as the second son I never had. Therefore, I hope you will never bring my son to another event or location where he risks having his belongings taken away from him or where he is required to complete challenges to maintain his belongings. Also, be honest with me, does your relative not belong in the category of thugs?"
Jimin's eyes flickered quickly as he glanced at Jin's mother, who locked her gaze on him.
At the same time that they were talking, Seokjin and his father were conversing in Seokjin's room.
Seokjin watched his father from a distance as he fiddled with the strings of his shorts and listened to him.
"Today, I had Jimin assist with this problem so that your mother wouldn't get too angry, but I hope you can understand what may happen if you continue to act this way. I understand what it's like to attend university and meet many people, but don't allow yourself to get too engrossed in this life. At the conclusion of your stay at the university, you will return home, where your mother has already identified prospective spouses. Please do not let her grow disappointed. Enjoy yourself, but don't go overboard, and be wary of the men you invite into your circle." Minwoo tried his best to be firm in his tone as he spoke to his son.
Jin leaned against the wall and pouted as his mood deteriorated. He ignored his father and kept his eyes fixed on the ground.
"Seokjin, did you hear me? Can you please answer me and let me know if you heard me?"
"You once told me I didn't have to get married right after school and should be happy and have fun, but now you tell me to go home and get married and not have fun. I don't like it. The guy who is my style is not Jimin's cousin. I don't know why he said that. Maybe he is, and they didn't tell me, but I didn't do anything because of a dare. I posted his picture because he's my style, but Jimin told me to delete it because if I didn't, he would email Instagram and ask them to delete my account, which I didn't want to happen."
Minwoo moved closer to his son, so he didn't have to whisper, "Son, I want you to have fun, but I want it to be good fun. Safe fun. Fun that will not get you in trouble or make your mother mad. I know he is not Jimin's cousin, but if your mother discovers the truth, she will be furious."
"I am sad."
"Oh, no, don't be sad. I don't want you to be sad, nor does your mother. Would you want to go on vacation? Do you want to return home?"
Jin didn't respond; he started to cry.
Minwoo sighed and wrapped his arms around his son in a bear embrace. "This is probably the first time you've met someone you like, so I understand it's tough to say goodbye, but believe me, it's not the end of the world. I am okay with you being friends with him, but I do not want you to date him."
"He is my style. I am not going to say goodbye to him." Jin said between tears.
"You may be friends with him, but you cannot date him, and I mean it with all seriousness, Seokjin. Do you understand me?"
The authoritative tone of Jin's father frightened him, causing him to cry louder.
"Why is my baby crying?" Jisook entered the room concerned.
"He is feeling-"
"Sweetheart, what's the matter? Why are you crying? Is it maybe because we are about to leave?" Jisook went to her son's side and pulled him away from his father so she could hold him in her arms instead. "I beg you; please do not cry. When you cry, it makes your mother's heart ache. What can I do for you?"
