Jungkook smiled warmly as he gently wiped away Jin's tears. "No, it's not your fault," he reassured him, "please don't cry, silly."
"I am not silly. Do you know how many times my heart hurts today? Then I tried to feel better by going to see my friend Hoseok play with his team, but it didn't help. Then he told me he liked me, but I didn't want him to like me. Why does he like me, but you don't like me and don't want to be with me forever? You keep not liking me, and it hurts me, which hurts you. Look at your face."
Jin, overwhelmed with emotion, found himself unable to control his words as he looked at Jungkook, tears streaming down his face.
After he wrapped him securely in his arms and embraced him closer to his body, Jungkook kissed Jin on the forehead and said, "I am sorry for not listening to you and being more patient when I needed to be. I care greatly for you, baby, and it makes me really glad to learn that I am the only one who occupies any space in your head." While maintaining his composure and speaking those words, Jungkook's eyes remained fixed on Hoseok the whole time.
Hoseok's eyes widened as he took notice, quickly raising his hands and stepping back. "Seokjin, I think I am going to leave. We can catch up another time."
Jin remained unresponsive, completely consumed by the embrace of Jungkook's arms. The world around him faded into insignificance as he lost himself in the comforting hold, oblivious to any other occurrences unfolding in his surroundings. The fact that Jungkook had appeared meant more to him than anything else. He was deeply troubled and worried about his life without his boyfriend, the only person who truly understood him and shared his style.
After a few minutes of standing together and closely clutching each other, Jungkook eventually drew away, his eyes moving all over Jin as he did so. Then he extended his hand and zipped Jin's jacket to his neck. "You shouldn't be standing out here in this weather while wearing your zipper down."
"I am not cold-"
"Yes, you are. Now keep it zipped up." Jungkook, with a confident yet gentle gesture, wrapped his arm around Jin's waist. Taking the lead, he guided them toward Jin's apartment-style dorm.
Jin gracefully matched Jungkook's every step as they strolled along, their movements perfectly synchronized. The tears that had once stained Jin's face were fading away, replaced by a gentle smile adorning his lips. As they continued their journey, Jin couldn't help but appreciate the captivating sight of their intertwined shadows, dancing harmoniously with each stride.
The sight made him lean closer to Jungkook, tempted to capture the moment in a picture. However, he didn't want to stop Jungkook as he was happy Jungkook had found him without him telling Jungkook where he was.
"How did you find me? Did you check my location?" Jin couldn't resist his curiosity and turned his head to look at Jungkook as they continued walking.
"Your location?" Jungkook was a bit confused.
"Yes, my location. Jimin has turned it on for me. He said it's important to know my location. That's how taxi cars are able to locate me. Did you also manage to see it? Did you come to me in that way?"
Jungkook smiled and shook his head as he realized what Jin was referring to. "No, I couldn't find you by checking that," he replied. "Jimin told me that you had attended the game; however, you were not there when I arrived at the stadium. I walked around for a while until I heard your voice-"
"My voice helped you find me?" Jin halted his steps, his curiosity piqued even further by Jungkook's response.
Jungkook released his hand from around Jin's waist and instead intertwined their fingers. He pulled Jin closer, positioning him in front of himself, and locked eyes with him. "Yes, it definitely did," he affirmed. "Why were you in the middle of nowhere with that person?"
