Jimin felt a sense of alarm and concern as he observed Jin repeatedly stabbing the plastic cup cover of the milk tea with the straw. The sight of people in the cafe glancing their way only heightened his sense of uneasiness in the situation.
"Jin, it seems like you're feeling upset, but perhaps venting your frustration on the teacup isn't necessarily the best approach." Jimin attempted to point out, shifting his gaze back to Jin in an effort to soothe him.
Jin's eyes were filled with anger as he stared at Jimin sitting across from him. He spoke with a challenging tone, asking, "Should I do it to you instead?"
"Jin!" Jimin was taken aback, completely shocked by the unexpected words from his best friend's mouth.
Following Jimin's response, Jin tossed the straw and stopped his behavior, his expression turning into a frown. "Sorry," he uttered. "I wouldn't do that to you. I am currently feeling a little disconnected from my head. There are a lot of thoughts in there, and it's tricky to choose which is the right one."
"Can you please share what's troubling you? Did Jungkook do something?"
Jin reclined in the seat, arms crossed over his chest as he sighed deeply, "I'm not completely sure. It seems that Jungkook is now my mom's style, and my mom is Jungkook's style. I am no one's style."
Jimin blinked rapidly, struggling to comprehend Jin's claim. "I'm sorry. Could you please explain? Did something happen between your mom and Jungkook?"
"My mom thinks it would be better for Jungkook to leave me here and go to the U.S. Jungkook wants me to have a cheating relationship and be with Yoongi while he leaves me here. He didn't want me to do that earlier, but now he's into my mom, so he's asking me to do it. I don't think he understands the marriage we have. I need that man who did our marriage to explain the rules to him again."
It took Jimin some time to collect his thoughts after listening closely to Jin. Before formulating his response, he tried to understand everything Jin was attempting to say. "Maybe I could explain the rules to Jungkook-"
"Can you? Please do it. He needs to learn it." Jin was quick to say as he cut Jimin off.
"I will, but before I do, can you tell me why your mom wants Jungkook to go to the U.S.?"
Jin let out a sigh as he proceeded to explain to Jimin the details that Jungkook had shared with him, stemming from Jungkook's conversation with his mother.
After carefully listening to Jin and considering Jungkook's perspective, Jimin clearly understood the situation. With a sigh of relief, he said, "Jinnie, it appears that your mother is working towards ensuring Jungkook's success so that both of you can have a brighter future without the need to hide your marriage as you currently do."
Jin started to sulk even more, "That's what Jungkook said as well, but why does he have to go to the U.S., and why can't I follow him?"
"Perhaps it's because of your commitments to school and the need to fulfill your requirements for schooling. I highly doubt your mother would willingly hand over her company to Jungkook with any bad intentions toward you. It seems like she genuinely wants you to find happiness with Jungkook. Based on what you've shared, it seems like she kept your marriage to Jungkook a secret from your dad, correct?"
Jin's expression changed as he started to think about Jimin's question. "Jungkook also mentioned that my school is the reason for it. Do you believe it's right for that to happen? Will my marriage with Jungkook still go on if he's not here with me? I've been thinking about that."
"Of course, your marriage with Jungkook is going to last. Even if he leaves, it doesn't mean he is leaving you. He's only going away for a little while. If Taehyung and I were married and he had to leave for the sake of our future, I would feel a mix of sadness and understanding. While it would be difficult, I would put our happiness and the growth of our future first." Jimin said as he tried to convey his thoughts to Jin, offering him support.
