District 9 is a facility in South Korea (Seoul) for people who have a defect in their chip. The defect in the person and the chip is analysed there and then a new chip is inserted. They undergo a reboot so that they can participate in social life and society again. It usually takes two to four weeks for a patient to turn back to their normal life again.
