18. September 2143, Wednesday

In the evening, a little after sunset, everyone sat in the black car, ready to set off. As usual, Chan checked again to make sure everyone had everything they needed before starting the car and driving to the building.

Once there, Seungmin got out first, shouldered his sniper bag and made his way to the fire escape from the building nearby. Once at the top, he looked for a suitable place, reloaded the ammunition and placed the bag with the spare bullets next to him, ready to hand. He also put a spare two-way radio, a telescope and other useful items within easy reach around him. Once he had everything ready and a clear view of the building, he announced to the others via Earbud: "Ready to go."

Downstairs, Felix and Yeosang got out of the car and crept towards the target building under the cover of dusk. Both took out some kind of pistol and aimed at the roof of the office building. They fired at the same time, but instead of a bullet, a rope with a hook shot out of the gun and caught on the railing on the roof. They both pulled on the string to check that it was indeed stable and secure and attached the gun, which also had a built-in motor, to their belts. With a simple push of a button, they were both pulled up along the wall and stopped in front of the thirteenth window from the right on the seventh floor as planned.

Yeosang set to work with a vacuum cup and a glass cutter and was soon able to remove the window quietly and stealthily. Both climbed through the window and Felix then immediately got to work on the control panel, so that after a short time he managed to open the gate from the goods receipt wide enough for the others to crawl through.

"You can come now," Felix told the others. "All right, we'll be right there. You're going to get the information, right Felix?" said Chan. "Yeah, that's right," said Felix grumpily. It's not the first time they've done something like this.

Nevertheless, he and Yeosang made their way to a nearby room where the main computer was located. He connected his laptop and cracked the password with ease. He accessed the transfer folder from the computer network and clicked through the various subfolders to select the ones he deemed important. He would then access all the other computers in the building from this one in order to download the data that was not stored in the transfer.

Downstairs, Changbin, Jongho and Chan made their way towards the gate. They crawled through the opening on the floor and then quickly found their way to the goods elevator. Jongho pressed the button on the wall and a short time later it lit up yellow. The words "Elevator here" could be seen and the sound of the metal safety wall going up could be heard. After a soft click, Jongho opened the double doors, let everyone in and closed them again immediately.

"Seventh floor then," Jongho mumbled and leaned down in front of the buttons with the floors. Before he could press the right button, Changbin forestalled him and pressed the button.

"Dude!" Jongho looked at the older man with a frown, but he just grinned stupidly. "What if that was the last straw? What if I really wanted to press it now but you took the opportunity away from me? Binnie, what then? Huh?" Jongho asked bitterly, causing Changbin's expression to change in confusion. Chan, on the other hand, seriously wondered if Jongho was being ironic again or not, but just shook his head as the security wall went down again and the elevator made its way to the seventh floor.

"Are you serious now? I didn't mean... so," Changbin began anxiously. But he couldn't think about it for long because they suddenly heard Seungmin's voice from their Erubud.

"Guys, I think we have a very big problem," Seungmin's voice could be heard. "What's going on?" Chan asked attentively. "Do you remember where Lix, Jongho and you saw four agents in the city? One of them was that Jeong Yunho who was on the news the other day."

"Yes, I remember," said Chan. "I have two people here who fit your descriptions exactly. One really looks like a squirrel or a quokka. The other has more of a cat-like appearance," Seungmin explained. "That sounds like the two agents... Where are they?"

"On the fourth floor. But the third agent is nowhere in sight, so be on your guard," Seungmin said intently. It was always surprising how Seungmin was the biggest pain in the ass, on the one hand, joking around and getting on everyone's nerves with his humorous teasing. But on the other hand, he could also be very serious and professional, as this mission showed once again.

"How far along are you, Lix and Yeo?" Chan asked slightly nervously. "I'll be done in a minute," the blond-haired man replied. "Okay. Seungmin, keep an eye on the two agents as much as possible and keep an eye out for the third one if you can, he can't be far away. As soon as something happens, let us know as soon as possible. Planning team, make sure you finish quickly, then we'll leave immediately!" the leader ordered and ran to the elevator buttons to go back down. Changbin immediately came towards him, confused. "And what about us? Aren't we going to search the camp?" he asked, puzzled. "Too dangerous," Chan replied stubbornly as the elevator made its way back down to the basement.

It took a few minutes before Felix was finally able to unplug the laptop and put it in his backpack. Yeosang and he were about to make their way back unnoticed when they suddenly heard Seungmin swearing.

"Oh shit!"

"Seungmin?" Chan asked anxiously. "One of them saw me. Permission to fire?" Chan didn't think twice. At a moment like this, milliseconds can be crucial and Chan couldn't allow the agents to risk getting reinforcements or catching them. " Permission given."

You could hear everyone snort in surprise through their earbuds. Just this morning, it was said that Seungmin was not allowed to shoot at anyone, but now Chan was giving permission. But after the heated conversation, no one wanted to counter, so the mission continued.

On the roof, Seungmin looked into the scope again and aimed the tip of the spike directly at the victim's forehead. Carelessly, he operated the small wheel to adjust the visual acuity so that he could take better aim at the agent.

He leaned a little closer to the window and was an easy target. It seemed as if he was doing it on purpose. Standing on the road like a deer in the dark night and simply standing still, even though he could see the speeding car approaching him with dipped headlights.

As if remote-controlled, Seungmin released the safety on the sniper weapons and put his finger poised on the trigger.

It looked like the agent was looking for Seungmin more closely. "Wait," he mumbled quietly, no longer sure whether he had mistaken his position or not. "Didn't the agent see me after all?" he thought strainedly but drew in his breath in shock when the actual victim stared directly into the scope. As if he was looking straight into Seungmin's soul.

He breathed in and out deeply before pulling the trigger without hesitation. The window didn't shatter into its pieces but instead took on a spiderweb-like pattern as the bullet shot through.

"Damn," Seungmin hissed as he realized that he could no longer see through the window. "Did you get him?" Jongho was heard to ask. "Hit unclear, lost visual contact," Seungmin announced. "Anyway, get off the roof and into the car as quickly as possible. We're already inside, Yeo and Lix will be here soon!" Chan quickly ordered, so Seungmin packed everything up as quickly as possible and ran to the car.

A short time later, everyone was in the car and heading back towards the bunker.
