Asteria Celeste Averix Levington POV

I was occupied with office tasks when my phone rang.

Cyra Calling..

l accepted it.

"Hello, bestie, how are you?" inquired Cyra from the other side.

"I'm fine. Why did you call?" I inquired as I focused on my ongoing tasks.

"Sorin mentioned that a woman unexpectedly developed a crush on you last night," she responded.

"Yes, there is" i remarked.

"Whom?" She asked with apparent surprise.

"My beloved wife," i responded.

"What? Seriously?" She inquired, expressing disbelief.

"Anyway, goodbye; I need to focus on work." Placing my phone on the table, I resumed my earlier tasks.

My stomach growled.

I'm hungry once more. My stomach is protesting prematurely; it's not even 11:45 yet, as the lunch break is scheduled for 12:00.

I glanced at my stomach.

"Stomach, please behave for now; it's nearly lunchtime."

I murmured, speaking to my stomach in a foolish manner. It's a bit absurd, isn't it? Having a conversation with one's stomach. Glancing at the time, I realized it's finally 12:00! I can eat now.

I departed from my spot. I'll grab a meal at the canteen on-site. Despite my wife being the CEO here, I prefer not to join her for meals.

I'm not bothered by that. I stepped into the elevator. Present in the elevator are just the three of us: myself, the person who assisted me earlier, and Boss Kian.

"Hi Felix, thanks for your help earlier," I expressed my gratitude to Felix as I approached him.

"Oh, it's you. Are you alright?" he inquired.

"Yes," I replied, accompanied by a smile.

"Ahem"

"Will you be having a lunch?" he asked with a smile.

"Yes. Will you be having a lunch also?"

"Yes. Would you like to join me?" he extended an invitation.

"Absolutely," I responded with enthusiasm. Dining with someone is more enjoyable and effective.

"Ahem."

Why is Kian clearing her throat? Does she have a cough?.

The elevator doors opened. Felix and I exited, and Kian did the same. She approached Kate.

I'm quite tough on Kate, the troublemaker. I don't know; I just dislike her. Anyway, we've arrived at the canteen.

"What would you like to have for a meal?" Felix inquired

"I'll have something similar to yours," I replied, as I'm not particular about food choices.

"I'm just waiting in line," he bid farewell. He headed to the slaughterhouse, and I took a seat at our table. Regarding my private part, the pain has lessened, though occasionally I still notice it.

"Have some eat." Felix returned and I simply nodded in response.

We ate in silence, and my gaze lingered on her. He's also quite attractive. It's likely that he already has a girlfriend, considering it's not surprising for someone to be interested in him.

"Can I pose a question, Felix?" I inquired.

"Go ahead and ask," he replied.

I glanced at her.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" I inquired. He glanced at me first, appearing to ponder his response, then continued to savor his food.

"Currently, I'm not in a relationship," he responded. I nodded in acknowledgment.

"Is it okay if I ask why you're not in a relationship right now?" I inquired, hoping it's not too personal.

"I aim for my next relationship to lead to marriage," he answered earnestly. It appears Felix is illustrating something based on his words. I'm back home now, alone. My dear wife is likely with Kate, the vandal.

When will I have the chance to see Sorin again? She's my crush, and it's surprising that Yusei, her sister, didn't introduce us earlier.

I wish for a happily ever after now. It's a bit perplexing – being married, what else am I contemplating?

Perhaps I have the right to like other women too, considering Kian spends time with them and brings them home. I just sighed.

"Life is just life!" I exclaimed. Entering our room, I jumped onto the bed and rolled around, feeling a bit restless.

It's truly enjoyable to relive youth, carefree and without problems—just immersed in play. The dynamics change as you grow older; life demands a more serious approach.

Facing numerous problems, I find myself pondering why that is. Despite the pain caused, I can't bring myself to leave her, and blame doesn't come easy.

The next day, when I woke up, there was no one beside me. She had left the room. I went to the guest room, and it seems Kian had slept there.

Upon opening the door, my suspicion was confirmed—Kian was indeed there, but not alone. Kate was with her.

She embraced Kate, and they appeared like a married couple. It seems I'm the third wheel here. After leaving, I just smiled wryly and headed straight to Kian's room, making my way to the bathroom.

As the shower water enveloped my body, the tears on my face mingled with the rushing water. I find solace in Kian's happiness in the company of others.

The reason for my tears eludes me. It pains me when Kian finds joy with others. After showering and dressing, I promptly went to my car, preparing to leave.

Tears still streaming, I decided to escape work and headed to the mall for some leisure. I chose to have some fun, making my way to World of Fun.

I was shooting hoops when someone unexpectedly snatched the ball from me.

"Hey, wait up for that ball!" I shouted at the person who took it – turns out it was Sorin, my crush. She smiled at me and approached.

"You play as if you have no appetite for it," she remarked. I couldn't stay silent, as I take pleasure in simply observing her.

"Alright, come with me and enjoy yourself," she urged, pulling me along. I followed willingly, hoping she'd take me to a place free from problems. Eventually, we reached the park.

The park is incredibly beautiful. When I was a child, Mommy and Daddy didn't allow me to visit this place.

"Do you like it?" Sorin inquired. I nodded in agreement.

"I truly enjoyed it," I expressed. We sat on a bench in the park.

We focused on people passing by for a while. Later, we returned to the mall's parking lot since our cars were parked there. Before leaving, I approached Sorin first.

"Thank you, Sorin," I said and planted a kiss on her cheek.

I noticed her touch her cheek and blush slightly.

"Is she blushing?" I wondered to myself.

I chuckled, thinking it's probably unlikely, and shrugged it off.
