Asteria Celeste Averix POV
"Kian," I called out to her.
We're in her office now. I don't want her out of my sight. I insisted on going with her, and she didn't object. She mentioned she wanted to be with me. I couldn't contain my excitement. Who wouldn't be thrilled with her? She's still stunning. Even the smallest gesture from her, like letting go of the paper she was holding, had me thrilled. Then she smiled at me.
"I'm hungry," i said as my stomach growled. I had already eaten a lot before we came here.
"What do you want to eat?" She asked softly, and my excitement rose again. I blurted out my earlier craving.
"I want sushi. A lot, please," I requested. She chuckled.
"Your wish is my command, wifey," she said, winking at me.
She got up and left for a while. When she returned, she informed me that she had asked Travis to buy sushi. I sat back on the sofa and played with my phone.
Meanwhile, Kian picked up the papers she had been holding earlier. After a moment, there was a knock, and Travis entered carrying a plastic bag, presumably containing the sushi. Finally, I could eat.
"Sir, here is the sushi you bought," Travis said to Kian. She looked at him.
"Prepare it and give it to my wife," she ordered. Travis came over to me and placed it on the small table.
As Kian was about to leave, I stopped him. I held his wrist.
"Don't leave yet, Travis. Come and eat with me," I said with a smile.
"Oh ma'am, there's something else I have to do," he refused. Seeing the sadness in my eyes and tears welling up, Travis quickly sat next to me.
"Alright, I'll stay and eat with you," he said hurriedly. I smiled at his response.
"Thank you," I expressed my gratitude.
"Eat," I offered him a piece of sushi. He took a bite, and I watched him chew.
Travis was still young, probably the same age as Joy. He was undeniably handsome with an elegant physique. I took a bite and noticed Travis had stopped chewing. He probably didn't expect me to offer him a bite. I wanted to tease him.
"You're cute," I said and playfully pinched him.
"Kian," I said and smiled at her.
"Travis, go back and continue what you were doing," Kian ordered seriously. Travis nodded.
"Yes, sir," he answered. I waved goodbye to him.
"Bye, Travis. See you next time," I remarked. He was really charming.
"Asteria," I looked at Kian.
"Hmm?" I asked. She got up and moved to sit beside me.
"Why were you smiling at him?" she asked with a frown. I smiled, understanding her reaction.
"Are you jealous?" I teased her.
I kissed her on the cheek.
"I know, and you're mine too."
"Mommy!" Zyrone shouted and ran to me.
Kian and I had just returned home from her office. I chuckled, realizing she might have been jealous of Travis. Before leaving the building, she shot him a glare. She was so tense when she was young, thinking something had gone wrong at work. Oh, my wife can be really mean sometimes.
"How's school going, Baby?" I inquired, kissing him on the cheek. Cyra had brought him to our house. My child was naturally happy, especially with Arianna. He sat next to me, and I settled on the sofa while Kian went to the kitchen to cook.
"It's okay, Mommy," he replied, giving a thumbs up.
"Mommy, I want to tell you and Daddy something," he said.
"Okay, baby. Let's go to the kitchen and you can tell us after we eat," I suggested, taking his hand, and we walked to the kitchen together.
"Daddy," Zyrone said and hugged Kian. It was heartwarming to see our child's affection.
"Sit here for now," I directed Zyrone to a seat, and we waited for Kian to finish cooking.
"It's time to eat," Kian announced, smiling as she brought a bowl to the table.
She had cooked pickles, and I spooned food onto two plates. Zyrone spoke up, and then we all started eating. The food was delicious.
"It's delicious, Kian. You always cook so well," I praised, taking another bite.
"Yes, Daddy, it's delicious. Teach me how to cook," Zyrone requested.
"Mommy, Daddy," Zyrone began, and we turned to listen to him. It seemed like what he had to say was important.
"I want to marry Arianna," he declared directly. I was taken aback by his statement. Was he really that young? Children often have such innocent desires.
"Baby," Kian interjected.
"You have to grow up first, and then you and Arianna can get married," she advised our son, glancing at me. I playfully nudged her. Oh, the power of parental influence!
"Really, Daddy? Okay. I'll grow up quickly so I can marry Arianna right away. Yay!" our son exclaimed joyfully, still clapping. I smiled, seeing Cupid's arrow strike our son.
It seemed like he was in love with Arianna. I was glad that his affection was directed towards someone right beside us. I wondered how my best friend would react when I told her about our son's wish; she'd probably laugh.
Would Arianna want to be with our son? It sounded sweet, but we'd see how things unfolded as they grew up. We couldn't predict if they'd really end up together. Many years would pass, and I hoped they would be happy with their decisions. I hugged my son around the waist, feeling grateful for the moment.
