48. Big weekend

The day has finally arrived, the BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. I was excited when I woke up this morning, I dressed up in one of my favorite outfits at the moment.

I was going for a really rugged look and I wore a leather jacket I was really excited to wear one since I never owned any before and when I finally did I had to take a few pictures of how cute my jacket looked.

The female in me was showing but let's all admit everyone has their feminine side to everything that they find cute, in this case my adorable leather jacket.

I curled my hair, just to complete my somewhat rugged look. I even had to text my older brother, Austin for some ways to rock a leather jacket. I also wore my John Legend inspired Rayban sunglasses and it just matched with my whole rugged outfit and held everything together perfectly.

Luke left the hotel early with the rest of the band so they could do some interviews and get ready for their performances. Luckily, Ashton brought Bryana to Norwich and she insisted on waiting for me since she needed extra time to get ready as well.

Both us went for similar looks, but my outfit was more edgy whilst Bryana went for dark . "You look so hot seriously" I complimented Bryana as she stood beside me facing the full length mirror to take a look at her final piece.

"Thank you Sky"

"Let's take a picture" I told Bryana, she nodded her head as I took a picture of our reflection in the mirror showing our full outfit. "You look gorgeous" When she finally looked at my full outfit.

I thanked her before we left to go to the BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. Once we arrived we immediately found the guys since they were doing an interview in public.

Luke noticed my presence and gave me a small smile. I waved at him and smiled back. "You guys are so cute you know?" Bryana nudge me cheekily. "We're not together" I told her, she rolled her eyes jokingly and scoffed.

Bryana and I walked around talking and laughing while waiting for the guys to end their interview. We both received weird stares from some girls but brushed it off not wanting to question it further.

"Bry, Sky" I heard Ashton's voice called us from a far. Bryana and I turned around to see Ashton running towards us.

Ashton wrapped his arms around her shoulders asking for my permission to take Bryana away. I laughed and nodded, Ashton didn't really have to ask me, I mean Bryana was his girlfriend anyways.

I stood there alone with my phone, it was the only way for me to avoid any awkward conversations. I was just scrolling through Instagram seeing what people were doing, and most were either in London for beautycon or dealing with their own busy day.

I felt someone wrapped their arms around my waist and leaned on my shoulder hugging me tightly. I could tell who it was by the way he embraced me, it was obviously Luke.

"Hi" he chirped and lets go of me.

"Hey Luke" I giggled.

"You look a little lonesome" He stroke his stubbly chin. "That's cause I am" I laughed, Luke wrapped his arms around my shoulders and made me lean against him whilst still staring at my phone.

"you smell good" I told Luke, looking up at him and smiled. "You reckon?" I nodded at him, "That's good to know that my girlfriend thinks my sweat smells good" I laughed but then realized what he addressed me as, Luke widened his eyes when he realized that he called me his girlfriend. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"

"It's okay" I shook my head, giggling slightly.

Luke and I spent talking and a lot of clinging on to eachother, Luke was being very optimistic today and it made me happy. "I think you should get ready for your performance" Luke nodded, he offered me to come along with him backstage but I shook my head 'no'.

Luke didn't question further and ran back to where he should be going. I decided to push in the forming crowd trying to hard to get in front, it was tough since everyone was pushing me here and there but somehow I managed to come out in front against barriers alive.

I took my phone out and snapped a photo of the stage, I sent Luke the photo and told him that I have the perfect spot to see him perform.

Luke: Watch out for awkward eye contacts ;)
Skyla: Who said I would be looking at u
Luke: I'm your only view babe
Skyla: Dream on hemmozz! x
Luke: It's happening Skizzleeeeezzzz!!!
Skyla: Get off your phone I can see ashton scolding you from here lol

I could see Luke backstage from where I was standing at, and at the moment Ashton looked at if he was ranting on how phones were such a burden to the band. I tried not to laugh at Luke who was nodding at what Ashton was saying, Luke turned to me and gave me a dimpled smile.

Ashton eventually got tired of scolding Luke and got himself ready for their performance. Ashton got on stage first and followed by Michael, Luke and Calum.

They started playing their song End up here and everyone in the crowd jamed out to it as if they had no tomorrow. The set list followed up with their apparent hits, 'Don't stop', 'Good girls', 'What I like about you', 'Amnesia' and their pride and glory 'She looks so perfect'.

They ended their performance with a goodbye and ran off stage. Half of thevery large crowd left the main stage and went away to other stages to see who were playing next.

However, I stayed put just standing and facing the stage. I could still see the guys backstage taking their instruments off and giving high fives to each other. Luke saw that I was looking and he pointed for me to go to lawn side where everyone were sitting around with their picnic blanket and just enjoying the event.

I walked over to the lawn and spot Bryana sitting on one of the picnic blanket along with Ashton. Bryana motioned me to come towards her, so I did.

I walked over to them and Bryana scoot over to give me space to sit, she patted the empty space beside and I sat down, crossing my legs. "How did you enjoy our performance?" Ashton asked, I answered with a string of compliments.

They did a very well performance and the crowd made it all better. "It was really good, your facial expressions made me laugh though" I giggled at Ashton. "Well that is what us professional drummers go through" Ashton said in complacent manner.

"Oh stop with the self compliments Ash" Bryana scoffed making Ashton laugh.

"I'm sure you thought I was banging" I unintentionally bursted out laughing at Ashton's pun. "I don't get it?" Bryana asked, confused. "Get it? because I was banging the drums and banging is also another expressions for-"

"Okay I get it" Bryana blushed, shaking her head in embarrassment. "Look it's your boyfriend" Bryana winked at me as Luke jogged up to us. "He's not my boyfriend, Bry" I sighed.

"Sky do you want to um, go walk around with me?" Luke asked shyly. Both Bryana and Ashton gave me a look saying that I should go with him.

"Okay let's go Luke" Luke helped my stand up as I put my sunglasses on and we started walking around looking at different sceneries, I could tell Luke was about to get sick from his evident raspy voice and repeated coughs.

"Sore throat?" I asked Luke, "Yeah, I got it just now" Luke said in between his coughs. I handed Luke a lozenge and he gladly accepted it. I always carried a few around since sore throats and sore tonsils runs in my family. "Do you still want to watch some performances?" I asked Luke, he immediately nodded and grabbed my head to go to the main stage where Fall Out Boy would be playing.

Let's just say the rest of the event went absolutely perfect other than Luke's sore throat, we had fun jammimg out to all these talented musicians. I just hope we can do this some day again.
