58. Sound Check

A/N: I really don't know what I was doing when I was writing this chapter, I'm pretty sure I was high on something.

I stood outside of the arena and folded my arms as I watched people strut past me giving me weird looks.

I didn't realize the tears that were slowly rolling down my cheeks making me wipe them every time my tears rolled down excessively.

I think I have fully expressed enough on how much I hated crying but sometimes crying makes me happy because it's a way of satisfaction that you don't want it to ever stop.

I heard the door behind me opened and I expected to see Luke but instead it was Ashton who came out to apparently get some air as well.

I wiped my tears away not wanting him to know that I was bawling my eyes out in the cold London weather like a total creep.

"You okay Sky?" Ashton asked as he stood by me. "Yeah? Oh I'm fine" I smiled slightly even adding a little chuckle.

Ashton didn't question anything further and just stood there beside me with his hands in his pocket and looking out at the open.

"You know, when Michael's hair caught on to the fire I was actually laughing but then I realized how terrible it was to laugh at a serious situation but sometimes I just can't help it" Ashton admitted making me chuckle a little.

"Sometimes you just can't help the little things that you do that makes everyone else upset and wonder" I turned to him with a sudden interest in wanting to know about what he's trying to figure out.

"And sometimes you can't help but become jealous from time to time but without realizing that it makes other people upset"

"Just like when you're crying, you can't help it but it makes other people upset because no one deserves to be sad" He added.

"I should probably go inside and take a shower, don't think too much alright?" Ashton gave me a side hug before leaving me alone outside by myself again.

Ashton was metaphorically right.

Sometimes you just can't help but do the little things that makes everyone else upset.

It has been a long, long night.

It was about 2 in the morning and I was in my hotel room that I shared with Luke. We didn't speak at all, Luke would usually try to make conversations with me but this time he made no effort at all.

Maybe I was a little too harsh on Luke, I mean all he did was just care about me but I managed to just push him away.

Luke was on his bed scrolling through his phone and I was just staring at ceiling just thinking about what happened last night.

I hope Michael and Calum will be okay by the time they come back to the hotel. I turned to Luke when he locked it phone and placed it on his nightstand.

"Luke" I spoke softly. "Yeah?"

"I'm sorry" I told him, he sighed and stood up from his bed to squeezed into mine.

"Don't be sorry, you have nothing to be sorry about" Luke wrapped his arms around my body and pulled me close to him.

"I don't want to talk about anything right now, I just want to cuddle" He said making me chuckled and wrapped my arms around his body.

"Night, Sky" I felt Luke pressed his lips on my forhead and sighed.

"Night, Luke"

The next day, we were given the news that both Michael and Calum are completely fine and are not severely injured at all, thankfully.

Michael was back on track and ready to perform to his fans on the last day of the UK/European tour. They guys are now in sound check and I sat in one of the crowds enjoying the interaction that they have amongst themselves and their fans.

"Luke, are you dating Skyla?" Was one of the questions that was said aloud by a fan.

Luke made eye contact with me and I immediately went red when he smirked at me knowing that they'll probably say something really stupid.

"Skyla Butler?" Luke asked, the girl laughed and nodded.

"I heard she's really hot, like chicken wings hot" Michael said making me sink down in my seat, getting weird looks from the security guards.

Seriously? How am I compared to a chicken wing? I'll remember to slap him later on.

"Yeah, she's definitely a hottie" Calum added almost making me want to just melt on the floor. "I'm sure she has a nice heart"

Everyone went quiet after Ashton made his statement about me.

"Wow Ashton, wow" Michael made fun of Ashton's statement on me having a nice heart. "Sorry um back to the question" Michael pointed out.

"No, we're not dating but I'd want to date her though, I heard she's good in FIFA" Luke joked as Calum scoffed.

"Calum lost to Skyla on FIFA" Michael said out loud making everyone laugh and Calum pout.

"I'd date Skyla one day" Luke shrugged but his eyes were set on me and his lips curved into smirk.

How, adorable.

Hey it's me Skyla the puddle because I officially just melted into liquid because Luke Hemmings just smirked at me and I might evaporate soon.

"When she's on drugs maybe she'll date you" Michael snorted earning laughs from the crowd but Luke looked a little hurt at Michael's comment.

Way to ruin the moment Mikey, that's 2 slaps for you.

The rest of the sound check consisted of more questions and the guys playing some random songs and also some of their songs.

I stood up from my seat as everyone began to leave the place.

Some people even recognized me and said hello which was very lovely because it shows that there are still lovely human beings in this world.

I met up with Luke outside where there were still a few fans around so Luke stopped to take some pictures with them.

We walked around London once Luke finished taking photos and meeting his fans.

"I want to go for ice cream" I told Luke and smiled when I looked up at him making Luke chuckle. "I'm not even surprise, let's go babe"

We bought our ice creams and I was happily skipping along the pathway as cars drove and people walked past us. Luke had a grin on his face so did I because I just ate ice cream and I don't think there's anything bad in the world anymore.

But that was a lie because there's always going to be something bad like how bullying is still a thing and how nothing is settled with world.
