Just as he was re-bandaging his arm lying on his bed, his mobile phone rang.
Akaashi did not look to see who it was, but simply took the call.
"Yes?"
"Kaaashi!!!"
Because of Bokuto's loud call, Akaashi was startled for a moment."Do you have time?"
Akaashi looked at his arm again. "Well, actually, it's late. What for, anyway?""I miss you." Bokuto muttered something. "And well, we've been together for almost two months now, and we've never spent the night at each other's house."
Akaashi closed his eyes and sighed. "When else, okay?"
"Kaashi, you say that every time."
"Then tell me in time."
"Okay, tomorrow then?"
Akaashi sat up. "Bo."
"Kaashi."
"You know my father."
"It's not like he has to know the truth."
"That's easier said than done. Lately it seems like he knows everything."Silence.
"Then say you're with a classmate to study."
Akaashi clutched his phone.
"I want to introduce you to my family."Akaashi's eyes snapped open. His phone almost fell out of his hand. "Uh...So...uh..." He didn't know what to say. "You know me already."
"Yes, as my best friend and pusher. But not as my boyfriend."
Akaashi bit his lower lip. "Bo..."Bokuto sighed. "I haven't come out to them yet."
Aloud, the setter expelled the held air. "I-I..."
"I love you."
Thoughtful, uncomfortable silence.Who didn't hate her?
"And why?"
"To study." Akaashi propped her hands lightly on the dining table.
"So you study all night?" His father laughed scornfully. "I don't believe you."
"Neither do we."
"Oh, really?"
"It's normal at my age."
His father opened the newspaper and began to read. "Do what you want."The next day, early afternoon to be exact, Akaashi set off.
He had thrown some books into his bag beforehand so that the excuse about studying seemed more believable. He was almost at his friend's house when he sent him a message.
Bokuto
Are you there yet??
14:43Bokuto
Kaashi??
14:43Akaashi
2 minutes.
14:44Akaashi was already at the driveway when the front door was yanked open and Bokuto ran out.
Immediately he showered him with hugs and kisses."I missed you, Kaashi."
"Bo, we just saw each other yesterday at practice."
The ace brushed a strand of hair from the younger man's forehead. "Way too long."
Akaashi smiled and put his lips to the older's."Are you sure you want to do this now?"
"I have a good relationship with my family." He held Akaashi's cheek. "I'm sure they'll take this well, and I'm bad at hiding things..."Akaashi let out a laugh. "I know."
His friend looked into his eyes in love before reaching for his cheek and pulling him to him. "And my mother already loves you anyway because she thinks you're a good influence on me," he whispered in his ear.
He had to admit he was a little nervous.
In the past, Akaashi had sometimes been with Bokuto, and he knew there was nothing to be afraid of, but she still spread inside him.It just always haunted him, no matter what situation he was in.
The two stood in the hallway for a moment. They exchanged glances until Bokuto grabbed Akaashi's hand and gave him a smile.
Akaashi could already hear voices in the dining room as they approached it.
