Exhausted from training, Akaashi dragged himself into the club room to change.

He was surprised that Bokuto had left early today, as he always wanted to stay forever, and Akaashi literally had to drag him home.

„Do you have any plans?“ he asked curiously.

Bokuto nodded. „Yes, I…my parents want me to come home early today.“

Akaashi raised an eyebrow in disbelief, but didn’t question it further.
Bokuto’s parents were the last to tell him what time he should be home, that was the funny thing.

Then, when the others were also already leaving, Akaashi became a little suspicious.
The ace gave him a kiss on the cheek before he said goodbye and went on his way.

Akaashi was left alone in the changing room.

Tired, he dug the key out of his pocket and unlocked the front door, only to find that everything inside was absolutely dark.

„Hello?“ he asked into the seemingly dark room.

As he turned up the lights, he almost got the shock of his life as the entire team stood in the hallway blowing horns.
In front of them was a huge poster that everyone was holding with at least one hand that read Happy Belated Birthday!!!.

In shock, he froze at the front door.

The boys were laughing and shouting Happy Birthday while Bokuto was already running towards him and putting a party hat on his head. Each of them was wearing one, he noticed.

„W-W-What are you doing?“

Bokuto grinned cheekily. „Your birthday party.“

„I-I don’t want any-„
Konoha tugged him playfully by the arm. „WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE!!!“

Komi leapt into the air, almost hitting the overhead lights. „EXACTLY!!!“

„Please don’t destroy my house,“ laughed Akaashi’s mother.

From the kitchen came running Akio, on his head was also a small party hat, and Akaashi immediately knelt on the floor when he saw the little one coming towards him.
Gently he picked him up and Akio clung to him.
„Happy birthday,“ he said.

Akaashi stroked his little brother’s head.

„Where’s the booze?“ asked Konoha jokingly.

„You’re a little too young for that.“
„You’re younger than us, Akaashi,“ Bokuto realised.
„But I think if you drink alcohol, Tokyo won’t exist tomorrow.“

The others laughed.
„I think so too,“ Washio said.

Konoha leaned against Akaashi’s shoulder, looking at the little one he was still holding.
„You look a lot like your brother, you know that?“

Akio laughed.

„Can we eat the cake now?“ asked Sarukui excitedly.
„What cake?“ asked Akaashi, though he already guessed what he meant.
„‘Ne chocolate cake!“ Bokuto pulled him along and all the boys wandered into the living room, where Akaashi’s mother had already set out fourteen plates.

While they ate, they talked nonsense, laughed, had fun.

When they had all eaten the last of the food, Bokuto clapped his hands and put an arm around his friend’s shoulder.
„It’s time for the presents!“ he shouted.
„You guys seriously-„
„Of course!“ shouted Konoha as everyone pulled out small bags.
