“MIRRA!” EMBER BELLOWED upon witnessing how the other Chimera lavishly delivers a full attack on Mirra. She instantly changed into a Chimera the moment another beast lunged at her.

Their thunderous roars and growls are filling the dead silence on the island. The monstrous beasts nearly looked identical if one were not careful enough to scrutinise their differences.

Mirra’s Chimera form had a normal serpent tail while the other’s tail had thick scales covering it.

“Errielle, no!” General Matro yelled when the queen suddenly ran forth towards the beasts. Sinundan kaagad ito ng heneral. Samantala, ang apat na mga guardian nitong kasama ay napatulala na lamang sa mga nangyayari.

Napabaling ulit ang atensyon ni Dares sa labanang nangyayari mula sa may kalayuan. “Alam mo na kung sino! Kill that other Chimera!”

Ember morphed a blazing sword and leapt into the air towards the two beasts. Her arms are lifted, her tip pointing to the clouds and is ready to strike down Mirra’s enemy.

Hindi maaari. Hindi maaaring mawala ulit sa kanya si Mirra! Hindi na siya makakapayag pang muli!

Ember successfully landed a deep hew on the arm of Mirra’s opponent. The second Chimera growled in agony before retreating a few steps. She then used the element of ice and blasted the second Chimera, encasing her in a thick block of ice.

Binalingan niya si Mirra nang may pag-aalala sa mga mata. Hindi siya nakaramdam ng takot nang makaharap niya sa malapitan ang ulo nitong leon, ang dilaw nitong mga mata ay nagliliwanag.

“Ayos ka lang ba? Nasaktan ka ba niya?” alalang tugon ng mandirigma.

The lion head lets out a soft growl, telling Ember that she’s fine. The warrior smiled and gently lifts her palm. Almost instantly that the lion brushes her head against it.

“This is all nearly impossible to believe.” General Matro’s comment made the queen and Mirra turn to him.

“Anong ginagawa ninyo rito? Hindi dapat kayo nagpunta sa islang ito,” asik kaagad ni Ember sa heneral.

“Patawad po. Akala namin ay nalagay kayo sa panganib kaya---” hindi na nito natuloy ang sasabihin nang biglang sumabog ang yelong pinagkulungan ni Ember sa pangalawang Chimera.

The beast roared so angrily at Ember. Its blood-red eyes are literally blazing in flames.

“Pag-usapan natin ito mamaya, heneral. Sa ngayon ay asikasuhin muna natin ang halimaw na ’to.”

“K-kamahalan, may dapat po kayong malaman tungkol sa ma---” hindi na nito narinig ang ibang mga sinabi ni Matro dahil muli ay sinugod ng reyna ang pangalawang Chimera. ‘Hindi maaari! Kailangan niya pang malaman ang buong katotohanan!’

Ember morphed several swords out of thin air and hurls them all towards the second Chimera.

Mabalis naman ang naging kilos nito at nailagan ang iilan sa mga espadang pinaulan ni Ember. Still, a few of them passed through its defensive line and grazed his body. The goat head was quite sensitive to pain and it roared. The serpent tail then began to spit acid saliva at Ember as the beast moves.

Ngunit gamit ang elemento ng tubig ay gumawa si Ember ng water shield at nagawa niyang salagin ang mga atake nito. She then created a stair in mid-air using force fields. Mirra used them as stepping stones and drops herself on top of the second Chimera.
