I ran.

I ran through the woods, jumping over streams and fallen trees. Rounding boulders and large pines. The ground was covered in a thick blanket of snow, and birds flew past me, fleeing from the noise chasing me.

My paws pounded on the snow beneath me, leading myself away from the pack behind me. I turned my head to see how far ahead I was, and saw nothing. I stopped beneath a willow tree, surrounded by rocks. My heart pounded as I stopped to use my senses.

I dipped my nose to the ground and putt my legs into the correct stance and- BOOM.

I dropped to the ground. My breathing slowed, and all I could think of was my daughter, Mayne Luna, who would grow up without me. I looked up at my killer and said, "You won't get away with this," I coughed. "My pack will-" My vision went black, and I drifted into the unknown.
