Seth

The past few months have been incredible with Star and her mom. Storm is starting to be comfortable with herself and let me say pulling all-nighters with her and listening to her goals makes me want to give her the world.

If it was up to me she wouldn't be working at all, but she loves her job. She's grown to be my greatest friend while Star is the smartest little girl I've come across. Top of first grade at our private school right now and she's been in the school for one month. Storm told me Star had problems with learning, but when we signed her up for more help the teacher said she was on a 2nd to 3rd grade level. Storm was confused, but Star tested and she nearly passed with an A+.

Storm is trying to get her to skip 2nd grade next year.

Walking into the backyard I see she's on her phone while her feet are in the pool, sitting next to her I ask, "What you up to?"

She glances over at me and rolls her eyes back on her phone, "swiping on Tinder," she answers with a smile.

"Hey, I thought I was next in line," I say peeking in her phone, it's no good she has a private screen protector.

Recently feelings for Storm have been developing in ways I promised I wouldn't catch, which I will keep to myself because I don't want to push myself onto her knowing she's still trying to get her life together for Star.

I took her to a party a few months back and she opened up. She allowed me access to see her vulnerable and trusted me with everything that night.

"You look amazing," I admire Storm's outfit while watching her place her arms over her chest, looking everywhere but at me, "we can go home if you want to, sunshine," I see the worry in her eyes after my compliment.

She looks up at me and shakes her head, "No, I just feel like people are looking at me like I overdressed," she looks around the party full of old women and men. She didn't overdress at all, we're just in the section where there's older people, the floor below this it's people around our age that's wearing outfits more revealing than hers.

"Ignore them their husbands are allured by your beauty so they're jealous," I could see her eyes tearing up a little and when they connected to mine I could tell she was close to having a panic attack my face immediately turns serious, "let's go,"...

"Ignore them their husbands are allured by your beauty so they're jealous," I could see her eyes tearing up a little and when they connected to mine I could tell she was close to having a panic attack my face immediately turns serious, "let's go," I rush us through the crowd to the nearest area where no one is.

The balcony.

Her hand flies over her chest and I could tell her throat was closing by the heavy breaths, her anxiety had worsened, and I thought getting her out of the house to socialize would've helped. I even told her I was a therapist before we left and she told me she knew because she seen my degree in my office.
