Madis POV

I lifted my hand with the piece of bread. "I am sorry that I know so little of traditions and I am sorry for not having a present. I really did not have it on my agenda that I would spend a week in the Illyrian mountains," I said and met his gaze. "But I just found out that in order to accept the bond I have to offer you food and this is what I would like to do now."

Nyx's grin only widened and he bowed his head to kiss my forehead. "You are the best present in the whole entire world."

A tear spilled out of my eye when I ripped off a piece of bread. "I love you, Nyx Archeron, please open your mouth."

Nyx did as told and I placed the piece on his tongue. The bond between us started to glow when his lips closed. He swallowed and the tug on my chest nearly ripped my heart out.

"I love you, Madis soon-to-be Archeron." Grinning I flung my arms around him, kissed his neck and embraced him tightly.

"We really should get out of here now. I need you. And I need you all to myself, Madis," Nyx whispered against my head. I dipped my chin. I did need him too, so much.

"We accepted the bond!" Nyx said upon stepping into the living room again. In an instant everyone was on their feet, either hugging my mate or me. Rhysand had tears in his eyes when he wiped his hand down his face.

"Guess you have to offer the Town House to them for the night or the....week, Rhysie?!" Cassian chuckled, squeezing Nyx's shoulders, a shit-eating grin on his face. My eyes went wide. Heat crept from my cleavage up to the top of my head.

"Uncle Cass!" Nyx rebuked, wrapping his arms around me from behind and pulling me closer to his body.

"What? Don't tell me that this is not exactly not what you thought about," Cassian joked. This earned him a smack on the back of his head from Nesta.

"The mating frenzy!" he continued, wiggling his hands in the air to which he again earned himself a smack on the back of his head by no other than Rhysand. But Rhysand wore an amused expression and fished out a key from his pocket.

"You won't get the Town House for the Night," the High Lord said, the corner of his mouth moving up. Nyx huffed behind me.

"You can have the Mountain Palace for the rest of the week."

"Thanks father. But maybe we will need it for longer than a week?"

"Nyx, Gods!" I rebuked, slapping his arm. I had no idea of this frenzy but I definitely did not want to talk about with his whole family. Rhysand laughed loudly, throwing his head back. "That is my son. Of course, as long as you want it," he stated, pride and amusement lacing his voice.

"Males!" Feyre exclaimed. "I am sorry, Madis. They could also have been a bit more discreet about that."

We walked over to the balcony, the cool night air greeting us. It was beautiful, the sky clear and filled with stars.

And then it was really time for us to leave which was so odd considering the fact that they all knew what we were going to do then. "Well, goodbye. Congratulations again. I am so very proud and happy," Feyre mumbled, pressing a kiss to Nyx's and then to my forehead.

"That is weird....they know what we will be doing here," I whispered to Nyx when he led me into the Mountain Palace.

"It is completely natural," Nyx mumbled against my lips, kissing me shortly.

That place must have been the most beautiful place I had ever seen. There were thick rugs scattered over the moonstone floor, balls of light bobbing in the breeze, along with colored-glass lanterns dangling from the arches of the ceiling. I gasped, looking around in awe.
