∙ Madis POV ∙

I folded my hand over my mouth and swallowed thickly. "I feel like I am going to throw up."
Aesa was quick to be on her feet and pulled the white dress away from me. "Not on the dress!"

Noora flashed me a sympathetic smile and walked up to Aesa. "I think she is just nervous. Don't worry, Madis. You love Nyx, he loves you and now you just openly declare your love for each other."

I grimaced and shook my head. "That's not it. It is just—" I cut myself off when the door opened and Dalia, Elain and Feyre came in. "You are not dressed yet?" Elain asked and I shook my head.

"No, she was just about to throw up," Aesa commented and I gave her a dead pan. She lifted her hands in a defensive manner.

"I...it is just. I am just nineteen. And now I am getting married. I have known Nyx for not even a year and we are sealing the deal now. It feels rushed," I finally said what had been stressing me the whole time.

"But you love him, don't you?"

"More than anything," I answered Dalia. She smiled and lifted her shoulders. "Andras and I accepted our bond after two months and also held the ceremony back then. Love knows no time. If you truly love him and know that he is the one then why wait any longer."
She had a point. Elain smiled proudly when she wrapped her arms around her daughter's shoulder and pulled her to her chest.

I looked at Feyre in a help-seeking way. She walked up to me, taking me by my wrist and just a moment later we stood outside on the balcony, the door closed behind us. We looked out over Velaris—Nesta had offered the house of Wind for me to get ready while Nyx got ready at the Riverside House. Feyre wrapped her arm around my shoulder and pulled me to her. "Everything is going to be fine. You are not even wearing your dress and you already look stunning with your hair done and the light make-up."
"Eve did my make-up," I told her, smiling proudly. Feyre giggled, "She is really talented at it." That she was.

"I know how you feel. You are the same age as me when Rhys and I accepted the bond. He was over 500 then, it is kind of weird, I know this. But in all honesty there would be no one I would rather want as my son's mate. You are everything I could have wished for in a daughter-in-law. You are smart and thoughtful. Kind and honest. Respectful, creative and caring. You say your mind when needed but your are never to loud or arrogant. You are exactly who my son needs at his side."

A tear fell out of my eye and I leaned closer to Feyre. "It is so good to have a family. To have you as  someone like a mother. I am so grateful," I mumbled and quickly dried the tears to not smudge my make-up.

"Well, suck in a breath...hold it," Aesa ordered, fixing the laces of the bodice I had just been squeezed into. I did as told, bracing my hands on the edge of the chair in front of me. And then it was finally done, I looked up and into the mirror. Gods!

I felt so beautiful.

"You look breathtaking," Aesa expressed and wrapped her arm around my waist. I pulled her to my chest when another arm curled around me. Noora.

"Absolutely stunning. My cousin is the luckiest fool in the world," she mumbled and leaned her head against my shoulder.

"I think it is time. You look more than beautiful, Madis." Feyre smiled brightly when she opened the door behind her, two Illyrians landing on the balcony—Arkon and Loran.

Arkon's jaw must have dropped to the ground while Loran simply stared with big eyes.

Arkon's throat worked on a swallow and he bowed at the waist. "You look utterly beautiful, mortal lovey. And congrats on becoming Oktarsian."
